Sad that it’s coming from Jack Germond’s former paper. I disagreed with both Novak and Germond on various issues, but at least they were actual journalists, unlike Mr. Zurawik.
I always roll my eyes, and I bet Novak and Germond did too at some point, when the topic of the news being reported is the news itself. “Flash - Newspaper runs column about TV cable news.” That’s fark, not news!
This jackass is so stupid that he doesn't understand that, in penning this detestable smear, he himself is engaging in the same thing that he is accusing Robert Novak of. Oh, I forgot. It's acceptable journalism for a braindead leftist to smear people, especially their betters.
Robert Novak will be remembered and lauded as a terrific guy, a great journalist and a tough, hard-nosed reporter.

Mr. Zurawik couldn’t make a patch on Novak’s ass.
I didn’t agree all the time with Mr. Novak but I respected him as a true journalist, Something this dipwad knows nothing about.

The Sunpaper is dying, most have been fired. Few remain, I heard the paper is super small sized but haven’t seen one in a coon’s age.
Novak was one of the moving forces for changing political shows to debate format, rather than a parade of liberals being nodded at by Charlie Rose types.

Novak helped to pioneer the diversity in the media, breaking the liberal monopoly on TV news that existed before. Along with McLaughlin, Buckley, Buchanan, and other early conservative figures in television news, discussion, and commentary.
About the Baltimore Sun.....this paper is more “captured media”, the reporters are paid to write what they are told to write.
I’ve been dealing with their “reporters” for 2 years. They won’t run any story that involves exposing any member of the DOD or NSA as anything other than a model of leadership.
I have a story about a career officer at NSA, who is literally a deadbeat dad. Deserted his daughter when she was 7 years old, left her on welfare, got a job at the NSA, and never supported her. This violates every security clearance directive there is - you can’t be a deadbeat and hold a security clearance.
But he did it anyway because he had enough cronies inside the NSA, to keep his wife from knowing where he worked for 30 years. Well, the wife found out in 2007, and has nailed him at the Judge Advocate’s office - he’s over there explaining himself.
He was also busted from intelligence ops when he was in the navy in 1970. He asked the ex-wife to lie about his activities and she refused. She threw him out. Guy walks straight into the NSA, fills out an application, and gets hired with no background check.
They never even pulled his Navy files. You think the Baltimore Sun would run this story? Not on your life - espcially since they run to the deadbeat for comments everytime somebody sneezes in Crofton MD. Deadbeat is the President of the Civic Association in charge of millions in city budget.
Of course they hated Robert Novak - May he rest in Peace - the Sun is a rag and their reporters are worthless. As far as “loose lips sink ships”, the ship already sank, they’re heaving water in buckets trying to explain how a deadbeat got a security clearance for 30 years.
