Authorities say five teen girls were repeatedly groped and threatened on a Portage school bus for months before the two 17-year-old boys and one 16-year-old boy were arrested in February.
A Porter County judge on Thursday ruled the repetitive pattern of behavior by the boys showed that they were beyond rehabilitation in the juvenile justice system. Juvenile Magistrate Edward Nemeth also wrote that there was a need to protect students and deter similar actions

“...but not for long, they either shaped up or were gone instead of dragging us all down to the lowest common denominator.”
Right. Same when I was a kid. But not anymore. Somehow, some way, the State constitution got re-worked so that now disruptive little criminals have more of a right to be in the classroom than my kids have a right to be in a classroom without disruptive little criminals. Because a free and appropriate public education is now both an entitlement and also a requirement.
As a side note, this is what Obama wants to do for health are: make it an entitlement and also a requirement.
Where were their fellow students, as in the male type?
Not too long ago, we settled a similar problem just one time. That’s all it took.
Can you identify these? Where are they? Name names.
South Central LA?
Certainly not Irvine.
Just wondering...
This was an academy for the gifted so the only males were of the piano and violin-playing, sweater-wearing variety. The two little scholars that tried to rape my nieces were bussed in from downtown. I doubt the other boys in that school could have fought their way out of a paper bag, but maybe they could have challenged the thugs to a spelling bee?

May I ask what classes were those criminals enrolled in?
What gift(s) did they possess?
Was this public transit?
Probably either snickering or trying to avoid trouble themselves. As young girls in the late '70's, early '80's, at my school, on the schoolbus, and around the neighborhood, we witnessed and encountered this type of behavior from time to time. And, yes, I'm talking about some of the same things you're reading in this story. Other boys did nothing to help. The nicer boys were just as afraid. I put up for myself, even though I was much smaller. But, I would hope my own sons would speak up for a girl in that situation.
He’ll go from tight end to wide receiver.
What would have happened to those girls if they fought back, I wonder? They probably would have been suspended or expelled for defending themselves. Then they complained to the school and got nowhere.
Didn’t Indiana recently pass that law that makes it very hard to charge school officials if they “act in good faith.” That’s a great law for them to hide behind. They’ll just say, “first time we heard about it, heh heh heh.”

I know it’s South Bend, but a lot of other folks don’t. There are probably 50 Portage counties in the US. Just add (South Bend) after the title.
Months? Did the girls say anything to their parents? And...What did the parents do about it? If they knew about it, why did they continue to allow their girls to ride the bus?
And...There are schools that are sooooo horrific that it would be better for the child to never attend school than to ever set foot in one. This seems to be one of those schools. Yes, I seriously mean it.
“The family of one alleged victim is filing a civil tort against the Portage Township Schools, the first step in suing a government agency.”
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
The above is from the article provided by your link.
The family should sue the principal and teachers **personally**. And...The principals and teachers should be held to the **same** standard (by the courts and child protection services) as a parent who allows known abuse to continue. If children would be removed from a parent who allowed this, then the teachers and principals should be **permanently** removed from any contact with children.
Children in this situation ( throughout the nation) learn to compartmentalize their faith into the categories of one side of the street and the other. While in the government school ( on one side of the street) the child is taught how to live without God, and for one puny period on the the other side of the street good hearted ( but foolish) people attempt to undo the damage.
If the Christians who run programs similar to this really **cared** about the spiritual well-being of children they would:
1) Completely rescue the children and get them into a private school program that solidly integrated their faith throughout the entire curriculum.
2) Work to shut down every government K-12 school in the nation. ALL of them are godless in their worldview.
Yep. Sometimes playground justice toward a big fat bully can prevent a future socio/psychopath from developing.
“but maybe they could have challenged the thugs to a spelling bee?”
That one brought a deep belly laugh.
When will he be setting up his Congressional campaign committee?
I say we do the same to Minnesota as payback for Al Franken.
