Democrats are fighting the greedy medical insurance and pharmaceutical companies to provide Americans health care, right? Surely anyone who listened to President Obama talk last week in Portsmouth, New Hampshire last Tuesday would think that. But while the Democrats are calling these companies evil for wanting to prevent the government takeover of health care, Democrats are working closely with these very same companies to support President Obama's health care plan. In fact, in exchange for favorable treatment in the health care plan, these companies are financing a massive ad campaign to support it.
Referring to insurance companies, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi claimed at the end of July: "They are the villains. They have been part of the problem in a major way. They are doing everything in their power to stop a public option from happening." She and other Democrats clearly know this is false. Just two weeks before Ms. Pelosi's rant against the insurance companies, Iowa Democrat Senator Tom Harkin announced on July 16: "The insurance industry wants reform. Heck, even Harry and Louise are demanding reforms."
Attacks on insurance companies have also become a standard part of President Obama's health care talks. . . .

These insurance companies are ‘playing ball’ in hopes to receive preferential treatment under any new system.
What people don’t realize is that even with a single-payer system, there are Doctors, Insurance Companies and Pharmaceutical companies that look to benefit, especially from DECREASED COMPETITION and sweetheart government contracts. These businesses would be more and more in bed with government, not less.
Corporatism. Pure and simple.
Democrats play like they are introducing Competition and bringing down costs when the opposite is true. They are also seizing control of crucial medical decisions away from individuals.
Control in fewer and fewer hands and complete loss of privacy and liberty. Corruption will abound. Think Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac only for medicine. This is what an insurance ‘coop’ or a ‘public option’ will look like.
It’s not something anyone with a bit of sense should want but there are millions of mindless drones that would happily pay Obama to take their freedom away.
Because if the democrats can convince the people they are screwing that they are really doing it to get the big bad insurance companies (you know, the entities that actually makes it possible to get care) then the people will accept the screwing.
Because it is something to rally the left against (they know without this “boogeyman” even sane (your next door neighbor) lefties would turn against this healthcare!
2ndly, Why the Insurance industry would put up with being boogied like this is beyond me: I’d tell the Democrats to shove it; I’m going with the Republicans, and fighting this with all the spunk I have!
Also, I would like Glenn Beck or someone to investigate how these “insurance”, big-business, pharma, AMA, AARP, etc.. sold out (What deals were made with the Admin, who talked to whom, and what they got out of any deal)? WOULD BE INTERESTING: Wouldn’t it?
For Mr. Lott I’m sure it’s a rhetorical question. He knows they love their boogeymen.
That’s how they do it, but some conservatives know better, and can see the charade behind the false fight.

Big Insurance is just the latest boogeyman libs use to scare Americans. Like Big Oil, Big Tobacco,Big Drug, Big Whatever, this mantra of super-huge corporations ruthlessly demanding Americans buy their services is a standard trope by leftists and libs. The use of “Big” is intended to reinforce the idea of many witless Americans that they are helpless pawns at the mercy of powerful, greedy interests who rule their lives. Big Lie is what I call lib propaganda.
