If President Obama was born in Hawaii was it while the islands yet remained a territory of the United States?
A new wrinkle in the dispute over his birth – and whether he is eligible to be president under the U.S. Constitution's requirement that the president be none other than a "natural born" citizen – appeared today when Obama's MySpace page confirmed his age is 52.
That would mean if he was born on the islands that now make up the state of Hawaii it would have been during the archipelago's days as a territory for the United States, the status for the islands from about 1900 until it became a state in 1959.
It also conflicts with campaign and other White House information that have discussed his 48th birthday just a few days into this month.

No I don’t think he was. Here’s the problem people, and it’s easier than most people think.
Although as long as his mother was a US citizen, he’s eligible to be president, Obama WAS NOT AWARE OF THIS. That is why he was dishonest with his birth records. People observe his dishonesty but mistakenly assuming he’s actually a “constitutional scholar”. If he was anything of the constitutional scholar he claims to be he would not need to be shady and nobody would have cared about this issue.

There are standards and conventions for using quotation marks when quoting from a source. If you had even come close to those standards, there would have been no problem, and no argument.

The funny thing though, is that it was a "fan" who supposedly detected similarities between Sex Rebel by "Bob Greene" and Davis's poetry, so Davis felt compelled to admit his authorship. I don't know if that's true either, but it should give conspiracy theorists hope that they really could uncover the secret author of a book through stylistic similarities.

Per Article 2, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution, one must be a natural born American citizen to serve as President. Barack Obama is NOT eligible for the Presidency because he is not a natural born citizen. The law that applied during the time of Obama’s birth (in effect from December 24, 1952 to November 13, 1986) stated- “If only one parent was a U.S. citizen at the time of your birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for at least ten years, at least five of which had to be after the age of 16.” We know that Obama’s father was a Kenyan citizen (a British Colony) and his mother just 18 at Obama’s birth...” (thus, she would had to have been aged 21 in order for Obama to be eligible). John A. Bingham, primary framer, 14th Amendment, states- “Every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of parents not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a natural born citizen.” Obama himself has stated that he is the son of a Kenyan- Kenya being a foreign sovereignty. Thus, Obama is not a natural born citizen even if he were actually born in Hawaii.
Aside from that, I believe that he was born in Kenya.

Congress does not have the authority to rewrite the constitution.
Please stop ascribing to congress powers that it does not have, they are out of control enough as it is.
Besides there is the simple fact that section 1401 never ever defines "NATURAL BORN CITIZEN".
That is a phrase of art that oddly enough lacks a clear legal definition.
Once again I, personally, believe that to be a Natural Born Citizen one must be born on US soil (jus soli) AND of US citizen parentS (jus sanguinis) AND have no other citizenships at birth.
The Onointed Won fails on at least two of those criteria.
You may be quite comfortable with any "citizen of the world" being the president of the United States. I'm not.

What you think you know about what happened on this thread is false.
And neither does SCOTUS. Natural born = citizen at birth, everyone with two brain cells to rub together knows that. Mere birth confers citizenship and no other steps need be taken to secure it. It's really that simple and desparately grasping at straws to complicate it for the sole purpose of unseating the socialist in cheif the sheeple elected is wasted energy.
