Several national advertisers, including some Wisconsin companies, have pulled their commercials from the broadcast of the Glenn Beck Program on the Fox News Channel after Beck called President Barack Obama a "racist" who has a "deep-seated hatred for white people....
Several advertisers then removed their commercials from the show, including ....
Racine-based S.C. Johnson & Son Inc. [and] Plymouth, Wis.-based Sargento Foods Inc., a privately held company, pulled its ads from Beck's show.
Barbara Gannon, spokeswoman for Sargento, told BizTimes today, "I can confirm that we have instructed our media buyer not to buy any advertising that would appear during the Glenn Beck Show. We market our products to people regardless of their political affiliations, yet we do not want to be associated with hateful speech used by either liberal or conservative television hosts."

Last time I looked, Radio Shack stood with Glenn. I’m glad, I just bought a new shortwave radio, a Grundig G6 Aviator, the Buzz Aldrin edition. ON another place, I was in a battle with a lib and I told her that, boy did I get her goat and I’m proud of it. It is time we used Saul Alinsky tactics against them, sometimes we have to get down and fight dirty in order to defeat them.
I'll join you in that, Behind Liberal Lines. Nor any SE Johnson product either.
Glenn Beck does not engage in hate speech. That President Obama is a racist seems a most reasonable inference, based on who his friends are and who he hangs out with. To tell the truth is not engaging in hate speech.
Don’t empty the package before sending, by the time it gets to them it will stink as bad as they do..
Fixed it for you. Keep up the good work. I'll keep shopping at Kohl's while not supporting Herb Kohl in any way.
Your Info is quite out dated.
In 1996,BATUS sold the Kohl's department stores, and two Marshall Field's
Really? Did you check your link thoroughly? Here is what I found at your link:
BAT has diversified into various fields at different times in its history. Its U.S. retail division, BATUS Retail Group, acquired Gimbel's, Kohl's, and Saks Fifth Avenue in the 1970s
My info is out of date? Was 1978 not in the 70s??
In 1996,BATUS sold the Kohl's department stores, and two Marshall Field's
Now, I don't believe Herb Kohl changed his initials to BAT. Do you? So, BAT sold Kohl's to a new investment group -- still not owned by Herb Kohl. Onward with the boycott.
Yes Dear!
There were no Kohl's Dept. Stores in my area in the 70’s. Not until 1991 did Kohl's appear in my area.
Sincerely,
KBCO
Kohl's Boycott Community Organizer
So you never even shopped at a Kohl's when the Kohl family owned it, yet you started a boycott? Makes sense...perhaps on Mars.
So you never even shopped at a Kohl’s when the Kohl family owned it, yet you started a boycott? Makes sense...perhaps on Mars
Once again you are missing the point.
Thanks For Playing.
That's because there is no point to boycotting a business that is not owned by your target. Herb Kohl owns the Milwaukee Bucks. Perhaps you should focus on the Bucks. All you accomplish in boycotting Kohl's Department Stores is harming your neighbors who are trying to make a living.
1) None of my neighbors work there. Kohl's is located in a near by city.
2) The name Kohl's alone,
Keeps me and others away.
3) The city Kohl's is located in,is a liberal
Cesspool. Therefore I make a conscious effort never to enter its city limits.
Interesting. A boycott of a place you never visit. Do you still believe that Herb Kohl owns Kohl's?
Maybe she’ll boycott the Federal Reserve next?
Yes I do!
Kohl is a CROOK! I believe he has conflicting interest in it! And has all along.BATUS is well known for its shady deals and market manipulation!
Since I have decided to Boycott Kohl's or any other business's he owns or has interests in,I will do so.
Thanks For Playing,
Subject Over.
I got it. She can boycott the Federal Reserve because that’s where Herb Kohl keeps his Milwaukee Bucks. /groan
LOL! You're welcome. I've enjoyed the non-boycott of Kohl's. But, not as much as throwing away the Sargento cheese -- that you already paid for. Doh!
I paid for it, therefore I will do with it as I please. I choice to Trash it! MY CHOICE! Apparently you don't stand for moral principal or can't comprehend people that do.
When I make a commitment, I stick with it! No matter what.
I suggest you respect those that do.
Cheers!
Keep your chin up, Katie. FRegards.
