Obama's Euthanasia Panels; There Is Fire Behind The Smoke

Obama's Statements on Health Care for Senior Citizens Consistent with German Aktion T4

Various commentators have stated mistakenly that HR 3200 contains provisions for "death panels" that will decide when it is time to "pull the plug on Grandma." We reviewed the portion of HR 3200 in question, and we found no such provisions whatsoever. There is a well-known adage, however, that the presence of smoke generally indicates a fire, and the New York Times has exposed the fire behind the smoke. Barack Obama's rhetoric on the cost of care for senior citizens and others toward the ends of their lives is consistent with that behind Germany's Aktion T4 euthanasia program.

Jerry Rivers (Geraldo Rivera) was on Fox-n-Friends this morning passionately talking about his father-in-law who died of prostate cancer a few months ago.

He (the patient himself) chose to terminate treatment. But, Geraldo made the point that we need to, in essence, force the discussion onto the patient - supporting the statists plans to codify the discussion since most costs occur near the end of life. My wfe and I both blurted out "But that's the PATIENT'S CHOICE", not the government's "suggestion".

Geraldo alluded to a panel to force the discussion, but if the panelists already have the bias toward NOT treating, logic tells us that the panelists will advocate termination of care due to the costs.

How else would you describe the panel (or set of politically-appointed bureaucrats) OTHER THAN a "death panel"? Form follows function - they will have NO objectivity and will only advocate the cost-savings position of a quicker path to 'end of life' to satisfy their definition of the 'greater good'.

Typical liberal play book.

First, tell us we are nuts for suggesting evil exists.

Then, tell us that they have “fixed” the evil, even though they haven’t.

Then, tell us it isn’t evil!

It took FOREVER to convince many folks, in Kansas, that Tiller was killing full grown, healthy babies!

Those who claimed we were “nuts” then, have no shame at all, even though they were obviously wrong!

“Death panels” already exist in the US. Oregon’s health panel told one lady with cancer that she could not have the drug she needed because it was too expensive but told her they would pay for a $50 suicide ‘pill’.

Geraldo Rivera missed the entire point of the discussion regarding Obama's death squads.

Hence this escalation in the rhetoric.

Talked to my 77 year old mom about this. She brought up a good point that if she needed a hip replacement, or any senior citizen for that matter, she must also agree to the physical therapy and other aspects of recovery that go along with the surgery. Also, her doctor must agree that the surgery would be of benefit to her and that she was healthy enough to endure it. This is what any person, along with their doctor, must consider before any corrective surgery is performed. I know there are some 80 year olds that are pretty spry and also some people in their 40’s that could not tolerate the ordeal of surgery or their participation in the recovery process necessary for a successful outcome.

It should always be a decision a patient makes in consultation with her doctor. A one-size-fits-all process can't work based upon age will never work properly or fairly.

Deathcare is in the bill and so is the death of freedom in America. They have loaded this bill with ubelievable provisions that determine your entire life. It’s incredible and it gives power to only a selected few God only knows what they are qualified for. It can also be added to without our knowledge or permission.

Say no to this bill and no to Obama and anyone that votes for it. Then kick them out of office.

We are headed that way. Dr. Zeke is terrifying..and he is on the panel to decide what procedures Americans are going to get.

Here is a video of him fleeing after someone draws attention to his works
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTTX5NCvt8I

I have see a lot of articles quoting his piece in this:
(Journal of the American Medical Association, June 18, 2008.)

but I haven’t seen the article itself. Still looking.

“In 1969, Willard Gaylin and Daniel Callahan (who later was on the board of the Society for the Study of Social Biology, the re-named American Eugenics Society)founded the Hastings Center, funded primarily by the individuals John D. Rockefeller III and Elizabeth Dollard, as well as by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Rockefeller Foundation”

Dr Zeke is a fellow and uses his .gov email address on the site.

Dr Zeke doesn’t think you have the right to die if you want to die because you are racked with pain from cancer...but if beds at a hospital are scarce..apparently he thinks babies and old people aren’t worth saving.

” But, Geraldo made the point that we need to, in essence, force the discussion onto the patient ..”

Is Geraldo that naive that he thinks cancer patients don’t have a clue ?
Their mortality is suddenly front and center and guess what?
They want to live and will do anything- chemo, radiation and surgery..to live.
They, of all people-get the picture , the whole picture.
They get it.
Barry and his Snuffer Squads are willing and eager to psychologically depress and damage the will of seniors and seriously ill people
with images of caskets and shrouds to save money,
so he can fatten ACORN’s coffers.
Obama is an unconscionable and ghoulish creep .

There was also a 53 year old man from Oregon with prostate cancer who was told the state plan couldn’t cover the cost of the treatment, but would cover the cost of assisted suicide...

My elderly mother broke her hip. She had fairly advanced Alzheimer's disease. We tried rehab after the surgery, but she never again walked on her own. She died with a nice stainless steel hip. No problem, since the insurance and Medicare paid for it.

Dear Governor Perry,

On March 30, 2009 the Texas House of Representatives passed HCR 50 affirming that the State of Texas claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment.

You have publicly supported this bill, and stated that attorney generals from all over the union could be getting ready to sue the US Government.

We are asking you to take the lead.

We are asking you to order the Texas Attorney General to publicly begin working on a law suit under Article IV, Ninth, and Tenth Amendment of the Constitution.

We are asking you to protect the citizens of Texas that we will not stand for government controlled healthcare in our state.

Under your leadership we can effectively kill the proposal of this administration and allow Texas to be a state free from socialism and collectivism.

Be the voice of reason in the national debate and allow Texans the ability to solve the problems of our state.

Thank you,

Facts about the 10th Amendment:

The Tenth Amendment (Amendment X) of the United States Constitution, which is part of the Bill of Rights, was ratified on December 15, 1791. The Tenth Amendment restates the Constitution’s principle of Federalism by providing that powers not granted to the national government nor prohibited to the states are reserved to the states or the people.

The truth about government controlled healthcare:
Government healthcare is failing miserably in Massachusetts
If you think a government run healthcare system can work and be more affordable, read this... http://www.notintexas.org/Front_5.htm

Article from the Washington Examiner 1/11/09:
“Obama’s health policy advisers should take a good look at the smoldering wreckage in the Bay State before trying to impose any such “universal coverage” on the rest of the nation.” Link http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/Universal_coverage_First_look_at_the_disaster_in_Massachusetts_011109.html
