Obama is about to begin his Town hall in Montana. Post your comments here. Sen. Max Baucus doing the intro now.
Just once, I would love to be in a room with obama and as it gets really quiet, yell out....

Billy Mays is alive and living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Well, it’s over. A useless waste of airtime, IMO. Obama’s staff did a great job of constructing a Potemkin Village in Big Sky country.
Bogus, all the way.
____________
Well, it shows only one thing. They are more crooked and craftier. The people of Montana should have made sure they were there. They knew he was coming.
“>>Randy from the NRA.”<<
I think Randy is also a plant. Obama had to have at least one “hard” question which Randy so gently tossed out. If I remember correctly, Obama was placing his water glass back on the table with his back turned to the crowd and said something like “just a minute Randy”. He turned back to the audience and then Randy identified himself.
Maybe I saw it wrong, but I swear I didn’t. Anyone record this to verify?
I don’t think that was Sharon Stone - I think it was Sheryl Crow. Whoever — yuck!
Need to start yelling for a federal audit
jesse jackson rent a mobs
What I heard from a local was that when the general public showd up for tickets to the event, they weree running a few hundred short of physical tickets. They told those folks to go home, then distributed the missing tickets to local Dims. Don’t know if its true.
oh my, she wouldn’t possibly be raising her voice causing a ruckus now would she? So un-American.
I caught that too! What a moron.
On second thought, make that you lying Muslin Marxist America hating/white hating illegitimate son of a b*tch.
First, Obama asserted today that two thirds of the cost for adding 46 million uninsured to the insurance rolls could be found by wringing waste out of the system. As I heard him, Obama said that the Congressional Budget Office had confirmed this. I have a vague recollection that originally the Congressional Budget Office said that the savings asserted by the administration could not be made but that the administration then called in the CBO and beat them up until a new second report was issued which supported the administration. Is this correct? Does the matter now stands that the CBO backs up administration in its assertion that they can find about $30 billion a year in waste?
I think this is very important for selling this bill.
Second, are the journalists and the public conflating Sarah Palin's "death panels" with the provisions calling for payments to physicians for conducting and of life conferences? I thought the death panels alleged by Sarah Palin had to do with a board which might deny treatment to a handicapped youngster or an aged individual. Have I got it wrong? I understand the provisions for the end of life conferences, according to Grassley, have been withdrawn. But these are something different than the death panels, correct?
Medicare covers 80% of medical costs. Medi-Gap from AARP covers the last 20%. Wouldn’t they just love the gov. to cut back to 60% and you would have to pay AARP for the extra 40%. They get rich!
Currently $96 per month is taken from my social security to pay for Medicare.
When there is a cost of living increase in Social Security they take it back by increasing the cost of Medicare.
Everyone contributes to social security and medicare out of their paychecks.
Most states reimburse hospitals for patients who are uninsured.
One NJ hospital got caught in a scam when homestead rebates were withheld from people who were reported as not paying their hospital bill.
Trouble was, they had insurance, the hospital WAS paid. The hospital was scamming.
He was 83, that’s pretty good longevity for the Canadian health system.
Rush was talking about the Rabbi that was selling body parts. One guy discovered that the “kidney” he bought was actually the foreskin the Rabbi snipped from an Italian kid earlier that morning.
“Yes, thats right and he also was comparing human health procedures to car repairs - lol!”
There are all kinds of supplementary medical insurance. I get mine thru the FEHB, which is subsidezed by the federal government. I think you are right about AARP. They are involved in all kinds of insurance and stand to benefit. However, the public option could kill the private insurance industry. And if the government cut back on Medicare payments, then the premiums for supplementary insurance would go up, which many seniors cannot afford.
Currently $96 per month is taken from my social security to pay for Medicare.
That is for Part B, which is actually tied to revenue and costs. Too bad the rest of Medicare isn't.
When there is a cost of living increase in Social Security they take it back by increasing the cost of Medicare.
No SS COLA for 2010 and it is projected that there will be none for 2011.
Everyone contributes to social security and medicare out of their paychecks.
Yes, but the contributions don't cover the benefits. Those of us retired now are receiving far more in benefits than we payed in. That will not be true for our children and grandchildren. It is good to be on the top of the pyramid of a Ponzi scheme.
I mentioned the AARP MediGap to point out why they want to see cuts in medicare. The more coverage we have to buy, the more money they make.
I cancelled my Medi-Gap and have no Gap coverage at all.
Cancelled the RX coverage as well. Started out wit Humana at $4 per month. That price now is ridiculously high so I said goodbye.
