Waiting for the story about all the people who started going to Whole Foods, or returned there, after reading Mackey’s WSH piece. This is more agitprop from ABC. a pillar of the mainstream media, which apparently thinks the entire country is hopelessly naive and ignorant.
How telling though that ABC doesn’t say, “Here are five new shoppers that decided to use Whole Foods based upon this view espoused by the CEO”. It is always steering the conversation, not reporting news. Hopefully, these media outlets die a natural death.
I find this odd about the Wholefoods defectors:
They trust that Wholefoods’ founder has a better idea when it comes to eating right, which is obviously a health-related activity, but they can’t imagine he might have a better idea about improving health care in the USA.
Joshua, just take a painkllier and it will be all right
This boycott will last about a week. These liberal snobs cant stand to shop where the regular folks go.
ABC news is nothing but a parrot organization for the dnc.
Did the idiot even read the article? This is no rebuttal at all. As Mackey points out, all American's need food and shelter too, but that doesn't create a "right" to them.
Thanks for the URL. Good article. If only more “liberals” and “progressives” made as much sense.
“a 45-year-old blogger”
Get a real job, low-life.
Mackey’s op-ed is a great example of ‘value creation’. The government touts ‘value capture’ or methods of taking value from the system which always fails. (Hence the economy today. Where can you find ‘value creation’?)
I figure ol’ Josh will take one trip down to the local Food Lion or whatever passes for a fourth-rate cut-price supermarket up in NYC, and he’ll be back in the land of overpriced arugula in no time. Limo liberals like Josh know what’s best for the working man, as long as they don’t actually have to shop where he shops or eat where he eats. You just know he wouldn’t be caught DEAD in a Wal-Mart.

Liberals hired a big Hollywood PR firm to push boycotts... Is there anything about liberals that isn’t a lie?
Hey libtards,
Keep your laws off my body!
I think it’s funny while Mackey’s views are turning liberals off to whole foods, they are drawing in conservatives/libertarians!
The whole purpose of this article is to create unnecessary drama which is starting to irritate me much more than entertain me. Why not, ABC, analyze the value of Mr. Mackey’s statements? Find a couple of people who could honestly critique his position and interview them.
Instead we have the “Oh the huge manatee - I just CAN’T shop from some one who disagrees with me” and the boycott bogeymen. So like the old neigbor ABC is twitching the curtains while gossiping with a few neighbors, hoping they get to report on a trainwreck.
I sent off this WSJ op-ed to my Organic Moon-Bat friend in another state.
I figure it will take a week or so for her to come back with a snappy retort.
Fine. I'll pick up his slack.
Shove it, Hussein cultists.
Not wanting toxic pesticides on your food is NOT a sham. For that matter, not wanting growth hormone in your meat and dairy isn't either. It's called choice, Whole Foods, among others, provides that choice. There's a reason main stream grocery stores have an organic section and many farmers are moving back to toxic free (organic) agriculture.
For those who think Whole Foods is too expensive, I did a price comparison yesterday of shelf items I buy there with a mainstream store and there was no difference FWIW. The difference is that at Whole Foods, I can buy in bulk and not pay for marketing, and Whole Foods has a discount brand, called 365. But hey, there's always Trader Joe's, if you're lucky to have one.
