Has CNN banned talk radio show hosts from its on air programming?
Such was reported by TVNewser a few hours ago (h/t Steve Malzberg):
Exclusive: TVNewser has learned, and a CNN spokesperson confirms, that in his morning editorial meeting today, CNN/U.S. president Jon Klein asked his show producers to avoid booking talk radio hosts

“Are they so weak.....”?
Abso-friggin’-lutely!!!
Leni
We should stop posting articles and links from CNN on FR.
and we might want to throw in the NYT and the WP too.
Just sayin...
Me too. Hope he never goes political and ruins the act.
we need some info about data collected via cable and satellite companies...and how we can use it to our advantage...
any freepers with that background?? Or who can get the info??
Thanks for the clarification.
ah, but does that blocked data get reported anywhere?? we need to know if cable/satellite notices/reports this to the advertisers and networks being blocked!
WHO KNOWS ABOUT THIS STUFF???
So does that mean no Bill Bennett. BTW doesn’t James Carville have a talk show on satelitte radio?
They used to have Neil Boortz on quite a bit, mainly because he was right there in Atlanta and I think their studios are fairly close, if not in the same complex.
I assume then, CNN will also ban attacking talk radio show hosts who are now no longer given an opportunity to defend themselves.
One should never ass u me.
Tonight’s Mort and Charles weak response to Rush’s comments were past pitiful. CK’s making light and Mort’s denials were faint admission of guilt!
I really don’t think they even understand the issue!
Sad, that!
Unless, they are left wing loonies.
I got em lcked.....I banned CNN.
While my respect for them has been reduced even further (except for Lou Dobbs) I still want to hear about any interesting things they have to say.
It's the same reason I watch Morning Joe - I gotta hear what the opposition is saying and that show I can at least tolerate most of the time. I watch *nothing* else on MSNBC and very little on CNN. I never see the alphabet networks. Ever. Fox is on in the house in the background a lot but you gotta have alternate sources of info or you get into a lot of trouble.
Plus, as long as we FReep, we're in great shape! :0)
and what happened?
(And I do not watch teeheevee -- ESPECIALLY when they are pretending to present news. KILL YOUR TV)
Not true. Texas and lots of southern states voted for Hoover in 1928 mainly beacause Al Smith was Catholic. Texas also voted for Eisenhower both in 1952 and 1956. Eisenhower was born in Texas, was a popular victorious general, and the Truman administration stole offshore Texas oil between 3 and 10 miles from the coast. In the annexation treaty, Texas claimed waters 3 leagues from shore (9 nautical miles, a little over 10 statute miles). Eisenhower promised to sign legislation to give back the mineral rights to Texas.
