P&G, Progressive Pull Ads From Glenn Beck's Fox Show After "Obama Is Racist" Remarks By Jim Edwards | August 7th, 2009 @ 8:57 am

Three major advertisers LexisNexis-owned Lawyers.com, Procter & Gamble and Progressive Insurance all abandoned Glenn Becks Fox News Channel show after he called President Obama a racist (video below).
The move comes after Fox axed host Steven Cohen from Fox Soccer Channel because Cohen repeatedly and incorrectly blamed Liverpool F.C. supporters for the death of 96 fans in a stadium crush, at one point singing, Murderers, murderers. At least four advertisers, including Heineken, withdrew support from Cohens shows.
On FNC, Beck said he believed the president has:
a deep-seeded hatred for white people Im not saying he doesnt like white people, Im saying he has a problem. This guy is, I believe, a racist.
Dont weep for Fox, though. P&G et al didnt go very far:
A Fox News spokesperson told TVNewser that the advertisers simply moved their spots from Beck to other programs on the network, so there has been no revenue lost.
The remaining Beck advertisers are subject to an ongoing boycott campaign by Color of Change. Heres the protest form that will be delivered to advertisers who continue to buy time on Beck.

Olbermann could do a "Worst Racist In the World!" spot and the LeftElite would say nothing.
See post 17.
Too bad.
I had to give him up after yesterday's radio program. He was making a point about the absurdity of some of the Health bill provisions when he said that we "...should eat the handicapped because their muscles are so tender". He then went on to compare the muscles of para and quadriplegics to "Kobe Beef". (All while yucking it up with the other morons in the studio)
I understood his point, just thought that it was probably the crappiest way possible to make it. I am not questioning his RIGHT to say what he said...
Just his judgment.
So P&G and Progressive do not want to see the truth? Fine...take your money elsewhere.
It’s tough for advertisers these days. Some of them are damned if they do and damned if they don’t. Your admonishment that that they are: “not an arbitrator of political comment and that they should stick to insurance if they want to keep their customers” is spot on and they would have been better served to tell that to anyone who complained. Now they have chosen sides and need to “feel the pain”.
My note to them will say that although I don’t insure through them, my daughter does (did) and that I am willing to pay the difference for another policy elsewhere to get her dissociated with them.
Here is my message to P&G:
“I understand you have withdrawn advertizing from Glenn Beck’s TV show for simply telling the truth about Obama’s blatant racism. I am a former Army officer that was also trained as an EEO specialist, so I am well aware of the common attempts at manipulation of public opinion by individuals falsely claiming racism.
Obama is a racist and is attempting to blame the complete failures of his policies on anyone but on whom it belongs - himself.
Until you begin to advetize on Beck’s program again, I will no longer use the several P&G products currently in my home.”

Peter Lewis, who owns/runs Progressive is the Insurance Company equivalent of George Soros; always supporting far-out lefties and their causes.
The owner of Progressive is a huge Dem supporter.
Progressive is a commie company founded by a friend of Soros.
He's in Soro's billionaires club along with Steven Bing.
P&G sponsors Rachel Madcow.
...But what I find fascinating about this whole incident is how unhinged the Left were in this country during the eight years President Bush sat in the Oval Office, being called and accused of some of the vilest things anyone could imagine.
And they didn't stop with Bush. They also attacked Sarah Palin and her family, particularly the eldest daughter Bristol, who had become pregnant out of wedlock.
So...let me get this straight. If you're White or non White and a Conservative, it's perfectly alright if you're referred to as a Lawn Jockey (Justice Thomas), a racist moron (George W. Bush), or a Religious Hick who dresses like a slutty flight attendant (Sarah Palin)...but if you're Barack Obama, well...those mean people like Glen Beck had better shut their evil mouths.
I’m glad you finally understand. grinning sarcasm
Wink, wink. Nod ;-)
