Conservative radio talk-show host John Batchelor says the whack jobs disrupting health-care town halls confirm the Republican Party has become a cruise ship to the seventh grade.
The sad-eyed Townhall Turfers now follow the saucer-eyed Birthers and the cranky Tea-Baggers as the latest political fad that the weakling Republicans not only cannot get away from but also cannot get enough of, like chocolate sauce on anything. The phenomenon of surly, verbose, sweaty voters crowding into overlit public rooms to hear out the numbing conclusions of a member of Congress on health-care reforms in all the 57 varieties has taken over talk radio and talk TV and swept through blogs like swine flus mutation. The suspicion of many gifted sleuths, working in favor of the Obama administration, that these are not grass roots citizens but rather hirelings and toadies, the astro-turf-eaters of Homo Pachydermata, stampeding to the whip hand of secret Blofelds of the GOP, has suddenly become a White House approved narrative endorsed by the colorful Robert Gibbs, who judged, The Astro Turf nature of grassroots lobbying are manufactured anger.
Would this were the whole story. Would that the Republicans were capable of such a vast right-wing conspiracy to rally and deploy growling scene-stealers with signage that is indifferent to paradox, Stop Obama, Stop Socialism, Stop Fascism. Those who have discovered these shadowy links of the nonsensically named Conservatives for Patient Rights to the infamous Swift Boaters latest awkward fantasy, Tea Party Patriots Health Care Reform Committee, serve less to enliven their suspicions than they do to prop up the spirits of the deracinated Republicans.(continued)

Closet Lib
> these battles are led by Libertarians!
Oh, please.
Open the borders, legalize crack, abortions for any one at any age at any time for any reason, no militiary defense.
That’s why they are best known as LOONEY-tarians.
The only whack jobs are:
1. so called moderate RINOs because they have not the words nor the gonads to oppose their opponents, and they invariably turn to the other side in similarly rationist “moderate” abstentionist puritano-communist behavior.
2. The whack jobs in Congress and at the White House intent on criminalizing every aspect of private health and consumption in the same evil dumbing down spirit mentioned in 1.
The only one descending us to 7th grade and below are idiots rationist “stuck in 7th grade” teacher/lesson-giver like him.
A jerk and a coward for sure.
When you constantly demean, degrade, insult, threaten, and ostracize your political opposition, as the Democrats have done, then is it any wonder that the opposition gets its rights and freedoms taken away. And that eventually, the opposition is the victim of violence?
People who question this Administration have to unite to defend themselves, or they will be marginalized, oppressed, and become invisible.
Batchelor is another ordinary guy who has no problem with our freedoms being taken away.
Libertarian leisure only focused habits politics have somehow blinded them from responding and respect of those who fight in equal zeal. They are turning into liberals year after year, completely miscomprehending the situation.
It’s God’s great confusion and miscommunication at work so as to avenge the Son as intercessor in birthing the order of Melchizedek as key pivot of communication core between the zealous protectors and the zealous enjoyers of the fruits.
Exactly: do called moderates are abstinentionists and statists ultimately who cannot stand the zeal of patriots. They are deeply flawed and obsessed with Wilsonian style prostitutive professionalism.
How does he know they are “sweaty”? Was he there? and even if they were sweaty isn’t it about time someone got hot under the collar about Obambam’s socialist policies he’s ramming down our collective throats?
These are average Joes and Janes who care about the direction of their country. Simple as that.
He was on KSFO for a short stint on sunday nights.
He’s long gone.. as is his weird dirge-like music..
Bring Back Drudge!
I sure do miss Drudge on Sunday nights. I still don't know why he quit radio. Anyway, he's been doing great work on the net lately - he's very brave going up against this admin.
I have never heard of this guy.
I am getting kind of sick of “conservatives” that apparently believe that we need to just bend over and take whatever the libs have to give. Is this some kind of Stockholm Syndrome?
Mr. Batchelor is intelligent, but he is hopelessly out of it as he clings on principle to pure idealism, ignoring the braindead youth and dependent-class structure of 0bama’s utopianism. He may have an idealized view of the political process, and would that it were so. But I don’t hear any recognition at all on his part of the astoundingly extreme nature of the current regime. We are in an era of extra-legal maneuvering, institutional seizure, and executive fiat. This is IMO the crux of the Republican problem. We are up against a faction that does NOT value liberty, because it has always had it.
