Rep. Steve Kagen (D-WI) faced a heated discussion about health care at a town hall meeting yesterday, with people in the crowd who were heckling, interrupting, and filibustering him.
One vocal attendee was a woman named Heather Blish, who identified herself as just a mom from a few blocks away and not affiliated with any political party. When interviewed by the local NBC affiliate, Blish insisted she was not a member of the Republican Party. I left the party, she said. Blishs statements, however, are distortions.
That still does not answer the question of whether her statement was TRUTHFUL. Even should she choose to work on a specific R candidate’s campaign, if she has resigned her association as a registered member of the GOP, her comment is correct.
The newsies’ griping is sophistry, and is bovine excrement, if her statements are FACTUALLY TRUE, whether or not they are completely comprehensive.
To cower before this kind of onslaught is simply giving the left a license to intimidate, as well as to ignore their own identical “transgressions”.
In the end, I’m still unclear: Did she resign her membership in the party or not? If she did, then her statement is true.
"Exposing" her as a Republican might just convince others it must not be such a bad thing after all. If Republicans oppose this stupid bill, maybe it's time to give them another try.
I guess republicans no longer are represented and are to die. Only liberal democrats may speak to a member of Congress.
Imagine what these left wing bastards will do to you if they control your health care.
Wow — the MSM have found out more about this woman overnight than they have about Obama in two years!
This is certainly a distortion of the truth... whatever the actual definition of “operative” might be, the fact is that connotative use of the word is meant to imply that someone is there as a “plant” by the organization that they are operating under. We all know what this reporter was trying to imply..
Also, as many have said, who cares if she IS a Republican? You’re only allowed to have a dissenting opinion against Dems if you’re a Dem yourself? Showing that she worked for the campaigns only shows that she is perhaps more informed of the politics underlying this whole thing... (too bad more Dems taht work on campaigns aren’t more informed, otherwise they prob wouldn’t be Dems anymore!!)
Moreover, why should she have to tell them what party she’s with? As soon as she tells this to a Democrat and his cronies, they would immediately dismiss anything she has to say. In order to be heard even for a second there’s no way she could divulge her political history. The Dems are forcing us into a real corner, as usual.
The title came from another website that I won’t post here. I went to the source of the video to make sure it was legit.
Get pissed at the treatment of this woman. She’s being Joe the Plumbered.
you do not talk about conservative activism on camera
Attention Republican Party!!!!!!!!
I am a registered Republican and hereby offer my services as an operative.
However the union goons in their matching t-shirts who get preferential front row seating are just spontaneous locals who want to express their opinions.
Why do the liberals care about this? They always describe Rosa Parks as a seamstress and not an NAACP staffer.
“Woman Who Said She Was Just A Mom At Town Hall Meeting Is Exposed As A Republican Operative”
RULE 4: (Rules For Radicals by Saul Alinsky) “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. (This is a serious rule. The besieged entity’s very credibility and reputation is at stake, because if activists catch it lying or not living up to its commitments, they can continue to chip away at the damage.)
The Democrat aggression army is going by Alinsky’s rules.
Whats your point?
The point is that if you are going to publicly support a position and then talk to the press, be honest. You can spin this "story" any way you want by claiming that "liberals do it too". It doesn't help. The dishonesty reflects badly on all of the (honest) people protesting against the madness.
And Bill Ayers was "just a guy in the neighborhood." So what? Theirs is good, but ours is bad?

So republicans have lost their freedom of speech under this regime? I guess that’s the change.
Mighty weak there Obamedia.
Anyone remember that this was Patty Murray's mantra when she ran for the Senate, "I'm just a mom in tennis shoes"? No political affiliations, she had just had enough and wanted to seek public office to serve? The press ran with that, allowed her to use this baloney for months, when all along, she had previously served in the Washington state senate.
Frauds are only frauds when they are Republican, apparently. [/s]
Let me get this straight, anyone who is a conservative republican isn’t allowed the same rights as the democraps? This is geting idiotic. I am a registered voter who objects to the government’s deathcare aka Obamacare I have a right to free speech and I paid for my own way.
Even in the documents he showed in the video, her association with those efforts listed dates of 2006 to 2008. If she’s as disgusted with the Republican Party as I am, she’s probably registered as an Independent back and forth several times trying to send a message yet participate in primaries.
There’s no lie inferred if she used to be a Republican, yet isn’t at this time. It tells me she’s sick of both major parties, and she’s an independent thinker.
This reporter can’t grasp that concept any better than he could find his posterior with both hands.
What an airhead...
I guess we can thank god she wasn’t a Socialist Democrat Party apparatchik
