It’s looking more and more like the forged “Kenyan birth certificate” released by Orly Taitz on Sunday was a prank by a supporter of President Obama. Politijab points to an anonymous blogger at FearlessBlogging, who has uploaded four photos of the original forgery and a mocking declaration:

Fine cotton business paper: $11

Inkjet printer: $35

1940 Royal Model KMM manual typewriter: $10

2 Shilling coin: $1

Assuming it's fake, it was sort of dumb to think anyone could actually produce the "real" BC, especially on a keynan, by kenyans. I still don't believe he was born here, his loyalties are too split, but I believe he should be made to prove it by producing a real BC and not the forgery he offered on his website.

The BC is only ONE... I repeat ONLY ONE of many things that OBAMA should release to the people, researchers, biogrpahers etc. The presidency is of the people. I’m sorry, it has always been like that. If the MSM and low lifes like the guy who forged the document wish to make an @ss of this president more than he has then fine.

I did read her motion. She says she has in her possession a color copy of a document and wants the court to issue subpoenas to determine if it's genuine. She doesn't say where she got the copy from. She doesn't present any evidence to suggest that it might be genuine. That is not enough to get a federal court to do anything, even to order discovery. (Federal Rules of Evidence 901(a)).

If you think I'm spreading "disinformation," wait to see what the judge does. You heard it here first: he will not order any discovery into the authenticity of this document, until and unless Orly explains where she got it from and that explanation is sufficient to show that there is a good chance it's real.

I'm no longer asking for the long form b.c. or the medical records. Just show me the births for 4 Aug., 1961 from all hospitals in Honolulu. That will convince me if BHO's name is on one of the lists.

What this says is what I have been saying since June 14, 2008: You cannot use a web facsimile of a single side of an alleged document as proof of anything, especially in place of the tangible, physical document in a court of law.

Therefore, Obama's web-released COLB is not proof of anything, and the various courts' citings of the Factcheck.org images in opinions is worthless.

Only a hard-copy of a document that can be independently inspected by individuals is proof of anything.

If this "punker" did any service, it was to undermine the credibility of the documents that Obama released as being just as suspicious as any other web document.
