It’s looking more and more like the forged “Kenyan birth certificate” released by Orly Taitz on Sunday was a prank by a supporter of President Obama. Politijab points to an anonymous blogger at FearlessBlogging, who has uploaded four photos of the original forgery and a mocking declaration:

What is the crime?
Making people believe a falsehood is not a crime. If it were, Allan Funt would be a wanted man.
As long as the forger didn't try to sell as something it wasn't, make money from it in some other way, or use it him/herself as what it was purported to be (Obama using it as his birth certificate) what, exactly is the crime?
And even if it were a crime, it would only be a crime in Kenya/Zanzibar/wherever. Not in the United States, unless someone was enticed to spend money on the forgery (Hey! Wanna buy a Picasso?). Kenyan law doesn't extend here.
As long as the forger stays clear of Kenya (and how often do you accidentally find yourself in Kenya?), he/she should be home free.
Writers as prominent as Mark Twain and HL Menchen have taken part in public hoaxing. It's not a crime.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to get back to waiting for my jackalope ranching kit to arrive.
I still tread hesitantly, using my own experience in family history research. At first I felt that Dr Taitz could have waited a while. Surely a two or three week inquiry would not have been disastrous to the cause? I learned that she merely submitted the document to certain entities, so she gets a pass. I believe that a hoaxer has been at work. Still, this is not what everyone wants to hear. I had done the research of David Jeffrey Bomford and he checked out ok, via the Cemetery records of his departed mother. Nothing in his birth certificate appears untoward.
This brings me down to my minority opinion. I have known hoaxers in my time. They are jokers who masquerade as have "good fun" and others hoaxed should be "good sports". They like Sasha Baron Cohen have a cruel streak. A nasty streak.
Well, some pretty nice people on Free Republic have got into a slugging match against each other. Ok, this will blow over and they can be friends again. On the bright side, what an incredible boost for Free Republic. Few can boast of such a number of replies, much new information, an education in birth certificates as was shown here.
I turn a trifle nasty myself though- now if I could find out the name of the hoaxer..... oh well, perish the thought.

I was responding to the comment that Orly was tricked by what at least appears to be a hoax. Read the main article for information on that, but the summary is that new photos have appeared on web at least seeming to prove that the photo Orly had was a hoax.
Whether that’s proof is still, based on comments in this thread, not yet determined. I personally think that the “key” is in the first and second photos - but am still digging.
...and what we have “witnessed” in these first 6 months will be only the tip of the iceberg. Can you just imagine what is REALLY going on behind the scenes? We will never know, if we can’t exticate his a$$ & future commie occupants of the WH. It’s gonna be ugly, when & if we finally get in to attempt to unravel the damage done.
Once Anonymous is involved, this thing is just going to turn into a big joke. Expect a new ‘genuine’ birth certificate to come out every week as well as phony documents from Kenya to Hawaii. You may even see websites hacked with bogus info put in.
Anonymous did a number on the Scientologists and they consider this a much bigger opportunity than that.
