the Democratic National Committee in a new web video is depicting the protestors as irrational birthers who want to "destroy" President Obama.Woodhouse said: "The right wing extremists’ use of things like devil horns on pictures of our elected officials, hanging members of Congress in effigy, breathlessly questioning the president's citizenship and the use of Nazi SS symbols and the like just shows how outside of the mainstream the Republican Party and their allies are. In this video, we are called over and over "mobs", and to make the not-so-subtle point, an effigy is shown being hanged by the neck to get the point across that we are a lynch mob, and a bunch of red necks. Throw in Pelosi's quote about us carrying swastikas and they're trying to paint us as nazi racist noose-making thugs. In reality, these folks look like fired-up well dressed older people who have simply had enough.

I, a life long Republican, have always been privileaged to admire a long list of sincere, patriotic, brave, honest Democrats headed by Harry S Truman. Even though I did not agree with much of what he believed, he gave me reason to admire and respect him. There were others, dedicated to their country FIRST and their party later.
Today, I find a once proud party, as shown by the DNC has descended to levels beyond all reason.
I would like to remind the DNC that what has happened is what a famous Japanese Admiral once lamented, “What we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant, and filled him with a terrible resolve.” He spoke of the American people, who are rapidly awakening and are being filled with a terrible resolve.

It sounds like free speech is on the line here. Will the left turn political speech and animated expression of frustration and outrage into a display that is unacceptable or dismissed by the public? Don’t let them do it. Define your right to speak out freely and verbally express your political outrage. You have a God-given right to express your conscience. The First Amendment secures that right from government interference as long as it is peaceful.
