That's what I gathered from the quote. My "!!!!??" was two fold - to confirm that he hadn't misspoke, and assuming he hadn't, to express surprise that the question is unanswered by the issuing agent.

I wonder if you are looking at 1961 Hawaii through high tech 2009 eyes.
1. For instance, I bet that you quickly assumed that all birth certificates that were received by the Hawaii birth certificate agency ONLY came from hospitals scattered throughout the many islands of Hawaii in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
2. But what about this possibility: Not all births listed in the newspaper OCCURRED in a hospital?

Remember, way back in 1961, Hawaii---working under a lot of pressure because it was in the middle of going from a territory in the middle in the Pacific Ocean to a new state in The United States of America--- had to come up with some creative ideas on how to quickly integrate its large illegal and legal Asian immigrants into this new State of Hawaii, a population who worked mostly in the many pineapple fields spread throughout the many Hawaiian islands.
4. One plan was this: Hawaii allowed parents to mail in birth certificates if the baby was NOT born in a hospital or under the care of a doctor or midwife in order to make the integration of the large legal and illegal Asian population into the new State of Hawaii a lot easier?
This mail in birth certificate rule may have even been in place before Hawaii attained statehood.
5. That is what happened to many births in that time period.
6. It went something like this: A parent filled out a baby's birth certificate at home and then sent it to the Hawaii birth certificate agency, where it was mixed in with births that did occur in hospitals---remember, there is no hospital listing for Obama's birth---and sent it on to the newspaper.
NOTE: Some people in other messages on the internet argue that only births that occurred in hospitals were listed in the newspaper, but we can't be sure unless we see Obama's long form birth certificate in order to check if a doctor signature and/or a hospital name are on it.
7. That is one reason why we need to see Obama's 1961 long form birth certificate: If no doctor signature or hospital name is on it, then we know that Obama was not born in a hospital in Hawaii, and we are then faced with the question of where was Obama born if not in a Hawaii hospital.
There need not be a conspiracy that goes back that far. Just the willingness to utilize actions taken by people involved for contemporaneous reasons. The term "anchor baby" came about because of the value of being born in the US.
Yep. Beginning to look that way don't it? And if anyone on the planet has as much 'self-interest' or 'survival' in removing Obama from the oval office as we Americans do -- its the Israelis.

Airfares were a relative fortune back in 1961, and only the wealthy and upper middle class were able to just get on a plane and jet around the world.
He’s not releasing the birth certificate, because a) he knows this conspiracy makes us look like kooks, and b) he MAY be actually hiding something, for example the marital status of his parents at the time of his birth, or a stated religion, but certainly not the location of his birth.
And Hillary is in Kenya. Is she greasing palms or looking for dirt on Obama. Both maybe?
How about a person goes to the newspaper and asks permission to use their archives to do research. Pulls the approprate micro film tape cassette and gives them a blank when he leaves for the day. He takes the original home, removes and duplicates the film with the addition of the fake record, then inserts the bogus film in the original cassette. He then returns the next day to "continue" his research, and swaps in the fake for the blank. You now have an original cassette with a an un-spliced film containing the bogus notice in the newspaper's archive. Sandy Burger would be proud...
It would be "do-able" but would require some not so common skills and equipment plus cash. $oro$?

PS The company I used to work for kept all our older engineering drawings on microfilm. We duped back up copies when we added more records to the file. They were kept out of plant for security.

No, that’s not my point — and I never stated the issue is “minor”. My point is — at this junction — no one can prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. And while there are many folks using their resources on the birth certificate issue, Zero is bringing Socialism, and possibly Communism, to this country at a breathtaking pace.
So, do you want to fight him on something that you may not be able to prove — ever — or do you want to defend the Constitution from the attack it is evidently under, right before your very eyes?
And, at the same time, defending the birth certificate issue may actually hurt our cause as the radical left paints us, and every other Tea Party participant or right-wing conservative, as a tin-foil hat lunatic.
