Birthers Proven Right: Obama's Kenyan Birth Certificate Found

For about a year now there has been a great deal of debate about whether or not President Barack Obama is truly a natural born American citizen. According to the Constitution, Article 2, Sec. 1, “No person except a natural born citizen…shall be eligible to the office of president.” The Obama campaign and administration have always claimed that he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. A Certificate of Live Birth was presented by the Obama campaign showing that Obama is an American citizen[1]; however, Hawaiian law didn’t require Obama to actually have been born in Hawaii in order to obtain this registration.[2] This, among other things, has created a public outcry – from a group now referred to as “birthers” – for Obama to show his long form birth certificate, which would disclose information such as which hospital he was born in, who delivered him, etc. that would solidify the fact that he actually was born in America. The Obama campaign and administration have failed to present this document to anyone. Instead, they have been suppressing the issue using two tactics: hiring lawyers to defend him against the legal dilemma – such as lawyer Perkins Coie, who was paid $688,316[3] – and creating the ignorant propaganda, repeated by many liberals, that anyone who questions Obama’s eligibility is weird, crazy or racist. The liberal mainstream media has propagated the latter tactic through news broadcasts, such as Nightly News with Brian Williams, which incorrectly assert that Obama has proven his eligibility.[4]

This is not some lottery ticket where we hope to hit six number and retire. This is the stewardship and administration of the most powerful and important nation on earth. That’s won by issues, not crackpot conspiracy memes dreamed up on Absinthe and LSD, for Pete’s sake! We’re in a burning building, on the first floor, standing next to an open window, and you’re pointing down a conflagration-laded hallway towards the fire exit. It will be the END OF US, you understand? The END.

Get some ideas, and get off this birth certificate train. The only end is self-immolation.

Duhh... Even if not removed from office and even if he is a natural born citizen he is still hiding something. All of this effort to hide such a simple document, by Mr. Transparency himself, can be used to illustrate just how opaque is administration truly is.

The effort to hide this simple document is damaging in and of itself. The fact he's destroyed his opponents during his political carrier by digging into their pasts (or having his supporters do it) makes it all the more relevant.

Shame on you. You give up too easily. If he is found ineligible, it’s our DUTY to pursue this. This country cannot function as a free Republic without the work of its citizens. If the citizens don’t do their part, we get what we currently have. Do you want to continue the slide into socialism and fascism? Then by all means, continue to ignore the Constitution while ridiculing those who ARE looking for ways to uphold it.

We don’t KNOW if this thing is real yet. I’d like to see it authenticated by more than one person, and by people with sound credentials. Meanwhile, I keep an open mind.

Actually, it is accurate. Just because you're not behind a "Google Safe Browsing"-enabled firewall or running the Safe Browsing toolbar in Firefox doesn't mean that they're not blocking it. It appears possible that her site has been hacked in some way.

This is a message board where people share opinions. I’m sharing mine. It’s forceful, it’s persuasive, and it’s articulate, and I know people don’t like that when they disagree. I’m would definitely love to hop off this train, which is currently barrelling toward a stone wall, but I’d much rather redirect the train to get to where we want to go. Hopping off just leaves me alone, in the middle of nowhere, while the rest of the people who agree with me on other, more important issues, continue on to destruction.

We are not going to luck into the presidency, folks. We need ideas, solutions, and clear, positive viewpoints. The “birth certificate” is not one of them.
