Fox Decideds Not to Air "Family Guy" Abortion Cartoon (FREEP this POLL)

Fox says it will not air an upcoming 'Family Guy' episode that deals with abortion, the Live Feed reports.

The network announced its decision in a statement released earlier this afternoon, adding that Fox executives "fully support the producers' right to make the episode and distribute it in whatever way they want."

Series creator Seth MacFarlane appeared ready for the decision when he spoke during 'Family Guy''s Comic-Con panel discussion on Saturday. "20th Century Fox, as always, allowed us to produce the episode and then said, 'You know what? We're scared to ******* death of this,'" he said, according to the Live Feed.

There is a poll attached to this article. It needs some real opinion.

I stopped watching Family Guy when it became a non-stop right wing bash fest. I hope it gets canceled and the producers of the show go bankrupt.

Freeped but seems pointless to me.

Family Guy is the most mindless, stupid, banal and worthless show on television. That it is so popular says a lot about the intelligence of the average American viewer.

I highly doubt the quote attributed to FOX, “We’re scared to ******* death of this” is accurate. Is it attributed to anyone? Didn’t think so.

I love the Simpsons, I love South Park. But I can’t bear “Family Guy.” It’s always disgusting and never funny.

And let me add, Christian bashing. They never miss an opportunity to bash religion, but only Christianity.

When those “edgy” comedians and Hollywood movie makers really want to grow a set, take on Isalm. Go ahead, I dare you ...

72% voted for showing it, I voted no.

Even if the show mocked abortion, a comedy show that caters to children of all ages is not an appropriate venue for discussing the taking of someone's life before they have a chance to take their 1st breath.

It’s a total ridiculous poll in that it omits the very important choice.

One of the responses able to be chosen should have read: “It is neither right nor wrong but a choice FOX has the right to make based on their corporate values.”

He sounds like such an articulate fellow that I wonder why I have never bothered to watch his show.

South Park had a great episode where they indicated that the plots for Family Guy were created by Manatees selecting balls that had plot ideas written on them. They also pointed out correctly that the jokes in Family Guy have nothing to do with the actual plot.

Heck, the Simpsons and South Park people cant stand Family Guy, and have illustrated as much in their respective shows.

I have to laugh that there's a poll attached to the article. The article gives absolutely no information or details as to what the episode is about, what's controversial about it and why anyone should protest it or not.

So, how can anyone participate in the poll without knowing one iota what they're voting on?

I never heard of this show and never will watch it. I could tell instinctively by the title that it wouldn't be about any "families" that I know or would care to know.

More ado about nothing regarding vacuous, time-wasting TV shows that pass for "entertainment" today....and who rely on a little "controversy" (usually to do with a form of sex) once in a while to keep the show's name in the news and to ensnare the easily-amused.

When those “edgy” comedians and Hollywood movie makers really want to grow a set, take on Islam. Go ahead, I dare you ...

As much as I do not like Islam, I still think we as Christians could learn a thing or two from them when it comes to defending our faith. Especially since there were times when Jesus did resort to the use of physical violence to defend the faith.

To this day I wonder how many Christians allowed for Jesus to be confused with Ghandi.

I gave up on it a couple of seasons ago. It isn’t funny at all.

Considering that ignorant dunces are allowed to vote in our elections...

As you said, that would require really growing a pair. Such "courageous" and "creative" geniuses invariably wet their pants and lose the attitudes when confronted by thugs.
