Fred Thompson Dons the Clown Shoes as Radio Host

Fred Thompson is using his radio show to sell the preposterous idea that the president and Democrats are promoting euthanasia of old people. He calls it "the dirty little secret" of the health care reform debate...

Citing page 425 of the House bill, McCaughey claimed that "the Congress would make it mandatory ... that every five years, people in Medicare have a required counseling session that will tell them how to end their life sooner, how to decline nutrition, how to decline being hydrated, how to go into hospice care ... all to do what's in society's best interest ... and cut your life short."

The Dems are really spooked about old people being frightened about this bill. They can’t afford to have that group ticked off at them when election time rolls around.

Democrat Governor of Colorado Richard Lamb said “It is the duty of the elderly to die”. They said it and now say no. Can't trust the rats.

Fred is one of my favorite conservatives.

The fact that he’s smeared tells me he’s on to something.

Hmmmm, looks like the people who are opposed to Obama’s “Deathcare” are soon to be called “Deathers.” And since many of them are also birthers, they would be both birthers and deathers.

That is my “thought for the day”.

BIRTHERS and DEATHERS...guess I fit both categories!

Ah, so the tactic is to demean all those who publicize the finer points of ObamaSCare? So much for “post-partisanship”. This was the same tactic used against those who opposed Hillarycare in the 90’s.

Government is the collective gun, that's all. It's not compassion or kindness nor is it a financial planner.

For years the baby-boomers have been paying into Social Security and government spent it, it's gone.

Now we come asking for the money they promised. What is their only solution?

Use the gun. The dead don't require health care or request money. Any other solution would wreck the economy and anger the Chinese.

I know plenty of 60+ individuals who would proudly pick up a rifle again. This time, instead of fighting FOR their country, they’ll fight against them.

I feel the rumble of war at our feet. I feel the people getting anxious and angry. The tinder is VERY dry, and the government is knicking flint.

HAHAHA!

They "quote" Factcheck.org...

Thompson chuckled at this and said, "I've seen bits and parts of [the bill], Betsy, but I didn't know that." As FactCheck.org notes:

He hasn't seen that bit, of course, because it doesn't exist. McCaughey misrepresents the content of page 425 of the bill

Does not exist? Allow me...

http://energycommerce.house.gov/Press_111/20090714/aahca.pdf

Pages 424 to 434.

Then again, I am assuming those good folks can read AND understand what is written.

Benefit of the doubt and all that, ya know...

Kudos to Fred!

Few conservatives are willing to step up and speak out against the despicable policies of Obama.

Go Fred!

When you die, the IRS’s death tax will take 55% of your fortunes.

ObamaCare now plans to schedule when they get it!!

This isn’t rocket science.

Nothing in this monstrosity will do anything to increase the number of hospital beds, doctors, nurses, or any of the physical plant and manpower needed to accommodate the alleged 74 million so-called uninsured.

So, how will the needed capacity be created? There are only two ways: reducing present demand and rationing care to the existing pool of insured.

The elderly are big users of health care services and facilities. The capacity to handle the expected newcomers has to be carved out of their hides, by denying or delaying access, and by encouraging them to remove themselves from the demand pool by dying - which is a definite side “benefit” of the denial and delay of access to service.

If anyone thinks that this is not a pretty good description what must happen, either they haven’t thought it through, or they haven’t looked at the specific provisions of the bill that Fred Thompson is talking about, or both.

We all need make sure that every relative and friend over the age of 60 understands what is planned for them by these rat bastards currently running Washington, DC.

Fred is guilty of READING the bill. Shame on him. Re-education is in order...or maybe...a doctor visit.

No, they'd be fighting FOR their country, but AGAINST their government. Sorta like the original Revolution, according to the Declaration of Independence...

So nashvillescene claims there’s a difference between recommending old folks end it all and providing free assistance in ending it all while witholding assistance in prolonging life? Do I have that straight? There’s a difference?
