COVINGTON, Ky. -- Nicole Howell said she was fired from her dream job as an English teacher at Dayton High School after rumors circulated about an alleged improper relationship.
"Every time I think it's going to end because someone's going to step up and see I didn't do anything wrong, they continue it," said the 26-year-old Howell.
Howell said she told the principal about the rumors after she heard them.
"I told him then and there, I've never had sex with this student," Howell said. "I have never seen him. I have never even seen him off campus."
The 16-year-old football player did not attend any class Howell taught, and authorities allege the sexual contact took place in Covington, where Howell lives.
Howell said she went to the police station to take a polygraph test, but instead was arrested, and within days she was suspended and fired.
"There's not DNA, there's no pictures, there's not video, there's nothing," she said.
Her attorneys, Kris Nevels and Eric Deters, said Howell plans to file a civil suit against the school district, Dayton police and the alleged victim.
"I've done everything I can in my power to show my innocence, and yet here I am today," Howell said. "I'm still being prosecuted for something I didn't do, for something I didn't do with no evidence to prosecute me on."
Her next court date is set for Sept. 28.
Where's the proof she did anything? Sue Baby, Sue.

The way you look at me, I can tell that you're a freak
And I'll be laying in the sun, bottle and a gun

I’m not a frequent poster, but snarks like you make me rise to the bait.
“Guilty....of grammatical errors.”
Where is the subject and verb in that string of letters? What is the purpose of the dots?
The word “then” is a connector. What does it connect in your thoughts?
I suppose I could take the advice that I would give you, just because you can criticize doesn’t always mean you should, but I will plead guilty of listening to the lesser angels.
I was going to post this but................screw it...........hit DELETE.
Who is that Andy Rooney??
Super not guilty - whatever that means
If that was written by one of her students, she should be fired for incompetence. That was barely legible.
NOT GUILTY!!!!
The writer of the story misquoted her. See the video and judge for yourself.
Kids are nothing like we/they were 15 - 20 years ago. Today they’re irresponsible, disrespectful, and arrogant beyond any comprehension of sense.
________
Gotcha. Kids today are like they were 35 years ago, as you say irresponsible, disrespectful and arrogant. Yup, that was me.
I was unaware that a mere 15-20 years later, kids that age had lost those characteristics. Only to have them re-develop those characteristics a few short years later.
His son.
Do you always post clichés? Since you have nothing original to say, why do you bother?
I may have purposely failed the class and repeated again...and again...and again...
The world is full of sociopaths, and not all of them are sex offenders. Some of them are “the chillllllldrun”.
In this country, someone is not supposed to be found guilty of a crime without a trial and evidence beyond a reasonable doubt.

Just wondering, what are you adding to this thread with your comments?
I think the guilty/not guilty thing is kinda silly, but these threads are always, and I do mean always, a source of humorous release.
You’ve been a freeper for plenty long enough to recognize what teacher having sex with students threads are all about, and it aint news.
Years and years ago when our oldest child entered 2nd grade, she brought home a letter from her new teacher. My wife (now a professor of English), graded the letter and sent it back with a note attached that said, "You're must endeavor for excellence if you wish to continue teaching my daughter. You're first 'Letter to Parents', was anything but excellent".
That was the beginning of a very long and exceptionally uncomfortable year, and the last year any of our children would ever spend in public school.
Given the responses to my statement, perhaps I need to clarify? Has anyone been to a high school lately? How about an inner-city high school? I worked as a substitute teacher for a short time, and I was dumbfounded by the attitudes. These kids don’t want to work in any way, shape or form! They want to sit and chat with their friends, text on their iPhones, play on the computers, but you try to get them to discuss literature, you’re met with sneers, jeers, and less than half of them will actually pay any attention.
I give teachers their quarter; I couldn’t do it. I heard one “fine upstanding” teenager call his teacher a “Dumb C*nt” and walk out flipping her the bird. I was actually called to watch a classroom after a student threw a desk at the teacher and ruptured her spleen.
I’m not talking about the old-school “Those damn kids” mantra... I’m talking about blatant disrespect just to get a rise out of classmates. It’s no longer about education; schools are social forums.
You might ask yourself the same question, Skippy.
