Dear Freepers, Don't Back a Losing Argument: Just Accept the Fact Obama was born in Hawaii (Vanity)
Self ^ | July 30, 2009 | Edward Watson

Posted on 07/30/2009 8:35:25 PM PDT by Edward Watson

The entire birther argument, that Obama was actually born in Kenya instead of the US, making him ineligible for holding the office of the President of the US, is a spurious argument. It plays into Obama and the liberals hands - they want this to continue since it makes regular conservatives and opponents into fringe wackos.

Not one of us would've looked harder at his legitimacy than Hilary Clinton and the entire Clinton smear machine during the Democratic primaries. That magic bullet would've given Hilary the presidency - and yet nada, bupkis.

There are many valid reasons to oppose Obama and the liberals, but his birthplace isn't one of them.

Look right there on post 410...click and read.

Show me where it says both parents have to be citizens.

You lamely ask for sources. You repeatedly do this like a wannabee lawyer

But when someone sends you a source you don’t read it. So you are a dishonest poster

No doubt its clear cut to you, but yours is not a generally accepted opinion, which is the point.

What is the likely definition that SCOTUS would adopt ? Thats the realistic way one need to think of the question.

The "source" I sent you most certainly does.

Then just copy and paste where it proves both parents have to be citizens.

“hat you are talking about has already been proof that it is B.S.”

Wrong, you are the one hermetically sealed from reality.
You’ve gotten the ‘conspiracy theorists bug’ that rejects contrary facts by calling them ‘lies’.

We can smoke this bad thinking out by simply asking for proof that you cite... you claim “proof that it is B.S.” - well, show it.

And stay away from ad hominems. that’s another logical fallacy.

Just as I thought. Neither you nor dennisw can provide any documentation for your stated claim that both parents must be U.S. citizens for one to be “natural born”.

Why do you feel the need to argue w/freepers and demand they give YOU sources. Why should anyone have to prove anything to you - who are you to make demands? If you are so convinced BO is legit - you should be showing conservatives proof and sources.

Cite where a court has clearly defined “natural born citizen”.

I think you will not have much success.

You asked for a source and I gave you one. Go read the source, I don’t work for you. It is in there. Don’t be so lazy junior

Sure it does.
It answers the question of where was Obama born?
Obama was born in Honolulu.
Do you not agree?
What question is not answered?

I read it. It does not say what you claim it does. So YOU are the dishonest poster. The ball is in your court to prove your assertion. That "source" does not do it.

Y ou’re posting stuff from factcheck? Please. Any amateur can demonstrate it’s a fraud. I mean, you can “accept” it if you want.

Just post a picture of the “check that paid your taxes” to a website, and then see if the IRS will stop bugging you.

No?

Accepting a picture on a website as proof of the most important constitutional question to ever face this generation is pure insanity.

“Bozo...here is your source”

Wow. That was a waste of a few minutes. Horrible analysis. Based on the following excerpt, the author asserts SCOTUS held Wong Kim Ark and natural born citizens are of two seperate classes”

“...his [the resident alien’s] child...‘If born in the country, is as much a citizen as the natural-born child of a citizen…’”

You see, he says, the justices compared two people: a natural born child of a citizen and Wong Kim Ark. Therefore, the two cannot be the same. Because they were compared. Except for the fact that it says Wong Kim Ark is as much of a citizen as the latter, which means to me he has the exact same status as a child born of citizens, which means he can be president.

“The newspaper in Honolulu only printed what someone on the telephone told them.”

False. It was checked and it turns out the newspaper announcements came from the Health Bureau themselves.
If you check the top column it says Health bureau statistics. Those birth filings are birth certificate filings, so it in effect proves that Obama had his birth certificate filed within days of his birth. These filings came from the local Honolulu hospitals.

The only way to prove it then, is to issue every US voter a certified copy on paper ?

No one HAS TO prove anything to me. I'm just a person on an internet message board. But if they make claims they can't back up, or simply refuse to back up, I'm free to make my own judgments as to whether I choose to believe them. The same goes for everyone here.
