The hardy longevity of the Obama birth-conspiracy story shouldn't surprise. This country has long cuddled conspiracies close to its heart. We are a nation that loves tinfoil hats.
A few rules to follow in understanding this trend. The bigger the uproar, the more durable the conspiracy. Obama, the first black president and possessor of a funny name, is a natural fit. His boyhood in Indonesia, a Kenyan father, a birth certificate in palm-frond Hawaii, the White House at age 47. Can anyone take his past seriously? The "birthers" don't buy it and suggest you don't either.
The week before there was another doozy. The 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing? It didn't happen because it was filmed in a studio by NASA fakers desperate to catch up with those Sputnik-proud Russians.
Whoopi Goldberg, no less, gave voice to this nutcase theory on "The View" TV show until she was hosed off by Barbara Walters who noted there were six subsequent moon landings. Some people don't think the Holocaust happened either, Walters added.
There's more out there. "Truthers" think the Sept. 11 attacks were a put-up job engineered by the previous president to stampede the nation into war and controls on civil liberties. They have engineering studies, Web sites and fishy government maneuvers that make the case.
The list goes on. AIDS was devised by white scientists to kill off blacks, and Peoples Temple leader Jim Jones and his 900 followers were killed by CIA operatives, not by self-administered poison. The granddaddy of them all: the JFK assassination that featured multiple bogeymen...

Steve-b Alert!!! Yes, and we remember the old media's complete disinterest in countering those claims during the Bush Administration.
We are just trying to hold Obama up to the same standard that the left held McCain up to — proof that he’s a natural born citizen. Obama used a firm to investigate his status, but the firm should have recused itself. He’s spent a million dollars in multiple suits to keep his birth certificate secret. Obama supporters even broke the law and posted fraudulent ‘proof’ of his citizenship online. We smell a rat and want to see his birth certificate. There’s even a member of the armed forces who says he cannot serve under a C-in-C who isn’t constitutional. But still, Obama refuses to show his birth certificate, and if we insist on seeing it, we are called kooks. That now includes Rush and Lou Dobbs.
Simple! He and his staff could resolve the problem **he**created with about an hour's worth of attention for under $100.

Oh!...And, let's not forget that the “nut” attack is only one half of the “Nut and Slut” destruction plan. Wa’na bet that thugs are combing though Orly Taitz’s dumpster looking for anything at all to label her as a slut? Geeze! They did that within hours of Pallin being nominated for Vice President.

It is not a conspiracy but a cover up by the president, congress, media and the justice system. Why else would BO sign an executive order forbidding any releasing of his documents.
Why else would the courts refuse to even hear the cases brought to them before the president was officially put in office.
Why else would the media refuse to even discuss an issue that many citizens know is unconstitutional if BO is not a citizen.
It is obvious that they are fearful of the truth. Many of us have been called conspirators over the years for things that later have been proven to be true. One such conspiracy is the New World Order. Funny how this subject is constantly being brought up all over the world now.
During the Clinton administration we were constantly mocked for even thinking they were evil murderers. Well, I’m still in the belief that they are. I believe they did a lot of what was suspected and they too were given cover by the same people that are covering for BO.
It’s quite amazing how high pitched they are becoming in the comments sections too! Statements like I don’t care if he was born on Mars, his mother was a US citizen that makes him a natural born citizen. Everything else is fantasy - hahaha
I’m loving the exchange with these people! Just keep a clear head and state the facts and when they try to state their facts I just state prove it. Where in the Constitution do you see that? Link please! I’m getting caps locked too! Wow, this is exploding!
