I’ve said for a long time now that the fixation on Barack Obama’s birth certificate is a distraction.
I think Barack Obama is a natural born American citizen because his mother was indisputably an American citizen. I think he meets the residency requirements. And I think that Justice Scalia himself would not throw the President out of office now that he has been sworn in.
The issue is moot.
Fixating on it now is wasting time, precious time, when there are other issues on which those with time on their hands can fixate.
Barack Obama not releasing his birth certificate fits a pattern of non-disclosure from the man.
Most notoriously, Barack Obama allowed is campaign to accept foreign donations, a matter that got passing mention from the Washington Post and not much else.

There's no way to 'prove' anything here. Even if you produce evidence, do you think the military is gonna remove Obama from office just like in Honduras? Even if you 'win', you can't win.

What perplexes me is why Conservatives did not bother to vet Obama before the election. Never in modern times have we elected a President about whom we know only what he has told us and whose personal records remain concealed.

He’s not going to release it. Ever.
Just like he won’t release any of his other records - college transcripts, Annenberg board minutes, etc. It’s not going to happen and if you sue in court, the White House will claim executive privilege and/or their lawyers will bog the thing down in court.
Bottom line, it’ll never happen.

This is a search for truth to ensure that the president of the US did not commit one of the most grevious frauds in history.
The best evidence has not been shown to the public or a court. The search for truth will carry on even after his death, if necessary. Truth is one of the most fundamental values. You and others have been worn down before that goal has been reached. So go away and we'll carry the water for you.
Has anyone figured out yet that all those articles remonstrating the “birthers” for keeping the issue alive is keeping the issue alive?
I believe there have been more articles criticizing the birthers the past few days than articles advocating the birther positions.
Why would the military have to remove him if he’s really ineligible? At that point, isn’t fraud and conspiracy to commit a criminal matter? I’d think issuing a simple warrant would suffice.
I believe the Secret Service would “produce” him if it comes to that.
