I’m sure the Washington Post will race out with a poll showing McDonnell and Deeds basically tied.

Good. Does VA care to explain how 0bama won the Hampton Roads/ Norf.VAbch MILITARY towns?

Keep ACORN out and 0bama will lose anywhere.

Part of the reason is the *ahem* demographics of the military population. I work on base and there are a LOT of 0 stickers still on cars parked here.

There were already bogus polls claiming Deeds was ahead after the rodent primary. I called shenanigans on it.

I agree - we have to keep a sharp eye on ACORN this time around.

The survey USA poll looks too good to be true.

If it is true, then I guess all those visits by Obama and Biden aren’t gaining any traction.

Simple. Demographics. Over 40% of the Tidewater population is black and nearly 100% of those of voting age voted and voted for Obama. The last poll I saw before the election had Obama carrying military spouses by like 54% and we had a terrible candidate. Lots of non-military conservatives sat home and didn't vote. We had no more votes cast in 2008 than we did in 2004 but there was a very large demo change from one election to the other.

The good news is that Bob McDonnell is a great guy and very attratice candidate. He's from Virginia Beach and obama's not on the ballot.

If McDonnell wins by better than 10%, he’s going to be an instant new star in the GOP. Bolling and Cuccinelli win, and we’ll have our ducks in a row for Governor until 2022.

Survey USA’s State polling in 2008 was right on the money, especially in VA, NC and FL.

McDonnell might a potential Presidential candidate. Military service and conservative Christian who appeals to suburban independents.

Another note, Public Policy Polling had a survey that revealed that should George Allen seek a rematch with Jim Webb, its going to be a battle royale. Webb leads 45-43.

He should seek a rematch against that vile, anti-Semite pig Webb, but I wonder if he’s burned out. He mentioned running again for Governor, but unless the other two (Bolling & Cuccinelli) totally flame out, he won’t have another opportunity until 2021, by which time we’ll have newer, younger faces.

Yes, the Dems know that their own voters are lazy and may not turn out for the mid-term elections, but Republican and some independents will be chomping at the bit to make some changes in DC. So ACORN will be working OT to manufacture votes in close races to try to save their majorities in the House and Senate. Now is the time to develop a plan to throw some sand into their gears.

I also think Fannie Mae and Freddie Mae jobs programs and scams are in N VA. They “employ” a lot of Obama voters in make work jobs.
