White House, Hawaii again try to deal with questions about Obama's birth
Los Angeles Times ^ | July 29, 2009 | Mark Silva

Reporting from Washington -- It is the Internet rumor that has been discredited but will not die: President Obama is not a naturally born U.S. citizen and therefore constitutionally is not qualified to serve.

This week, months after the allegations first cropped up on the Web and talk radio, the White House and Hawaii officials addressed the rumor -- with the state's health director saying that she had reviewed the records in question and found that they verified Obama was born in Hawaii.

At the same time, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said, there probably was nothing that would quiet the disbelievers.

"If I had some DNA, it wouldn't assuage those that don't believe he was born here," Gibbs told reporters Monday. "But I have news for them and for all of us: The president was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, the 50th state of the greatest country on the face of the Earth. He's a citizen."

State officials had verified Obama's birth records when the question was raised before November's presidential election. Then Hawaii’s health director said in a statement this week: "I, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, director of the Hawaii State Department of Health, have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen. I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008, over eight months ago."

There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.

“Where is the birth certificate?” the “birthers” ask.

“Let me spend over $1,000,000.00 hiding it from you, and let me make fun of you for asking,” answers Obama and his supporters.

And makes the “birthers” look all the stupider to the rest of America.

Perhaps. But from a strictly cynical point of view, the folks that elected this guy aren't very deep. This issue received very little MSM coverage before the election, so of course we never got to see it's effects on him. Your average yokel that decided to take a flier on him last fall might superficially begin to wonder what the fuss is about, and begin to view him differently for his seeming evasiveness, whether he really is evasive or not. Since they aren't to sophisticated in the first place, which they demonstrated by falling for his act, they just may be unsophisticated enough to turn on him based on a soap opera type thing like this. It's not comforting for the future of the nation, of course. But I think plausible. I don't think there's an upside for Obama, short of some bombshell revealing of the paperwork that makes birthers eat crow.

All the lunatic rantings over the last 8 years haven't done much to hurt the left's political strength, have they? Maybe we've reached a point where the stupid, ranting types are the tip of the spear for each side. It doesn't matter how foolish and irrational they may be, they still advance their cause and the cause of their general allies, even if they embarrass their allies.

If the left has taught us anything recently, it is that you don't have to fight fair or be rational to win in American politics.

"I’d like to see proof that he didn’t apply to college as a foreign citizen to get special affirmative action privilege and discount tuition....."

...AND the passport that he used in 1981 to visit "Pockee-ston" when AMERICAN CITIZENS were NOT PERMITTED TO TRAVEL THERE!!!

1. Another father listed than the Kenyan.

None other than Frank Marshall Davis.

Which resolves the constitutional eligibility question in his favour, but destroys the entire Obama mythos as the son of a poor Kenyan goatherder raised by destiny to lead America into a new Golden Age.

“If I had some DNA, it wouldn’t assuage those that don’t believe he was born here”

But it might prove his mom was a jackal.

Perhaps if you tired the LBC, you might have better luck “sausageing” those of us who don’t believe in your dear leader, punk.

“I, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, director of the Hawaii State Department of Health, have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health”

So, you’re saying he has more than one original vital record, Dr. Fukino? Interesting...

Note to BORe. The newspaper posting that you cited prove his status as a natural-born citizen don’t prove one damned thing other than someone called the newspaper and reported that it had been born. Are you really this lazy, you sad sack?

Someone should ask Gibb how he "knows" this. Has he seen the original birth certificate? Or maybe he was there in the delivery room...

He talks, but there's still no record of Oboma being an American citizen, let alone a natural born American citizen - anywhere!

If he had been born in Hawaii then he would show his birth certificate.

The other problem is Frank Davis was more then likely his father.

have seen the original vital records maintained on file...

Why are there records, there should be only one long form birth certificate unless changes or late registration was needed?

****

I don't know anything about how a state keeps its records.

So I wonder about this: I wonder if the good Dr. Fukino is hurting Obama more than helping him when she opens her mouth.

That is, it seems to me that the good Dr. Fukino raises even more questions with answers that are supposed to end once and for all this Obama birth certificate issue.

Maybe someone who works in a state's vital records department could explain what the good Dr. Fukino is talking about.

HEY GIBBS. TELL OBAMA TO OPEN UP HIS BIRTH, SCHOOL AND PASSPORT RECORDS. WE WON’T BELIEVE ANYTHING UNTIL THE BEST EVIDENCE IS RELEASED FOR CONSIDERATION AND PUBLIC SCRUTINY.

The president was born in Honolulu, Hawaii

And Bill Clinton did not have sex with that woman, Ms Lewinsky, ever. Not ever.
Ms. Lewinsky was stalking the president.
He was familiar with her, but that's as far as it goes.
He doesn't know her, but he knows of her.

Yeah, yeah. We know how it works, Robert .

The original birth certificate was reportedly destroyed by Hawaii in 1991 when they digitized them, if the govt of Hawaii is to be believed. Therefore, this doctor could not have seen the ORIGINAL BC, only a copy of it. I would accept that as proof, but NOOOO. They won’t show it to anyone sane.

Believe CNN and the LA Times? Hardly ever. Not much. No way Jose.

Assuming 0bama was hatched in Hawaii..his mother is a white American and his father is a black Kenyan born under the British Flag in 1961. What is so hard for these pinheads to understand with regard to native born American and NATURAL BORN AMERICAN.
A Native born has only one American parent or neither were American citizens but said child was born on US Soil or a US territory..a NATURAL BORN AMERICAN is a child whose parents are BOTH US CITIZENS. My husband and all his siblings were born in the US but his parents were from Mexico, ,lived here since they were teens but never became US Citizens..as I see it he is a native american born citizen but his kids, whose parents were both born here, are natuaL BORN AMERICANS.
0bama is not Natual Born it is that simple.

White House and Hawaii officials addressed the rumor -
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Rumor?....Huh?

Obama, HIMSELF!, told us that his father was a Kenyan and British subject.

Obama, HIMSELF, told that he had been adopted by an Indonesian.

Sounds like dual allegiance to me, and self-evident admission by Obama, HIMSELF, that he can not be natural born.
