Graphic images that reveal the devastating impact of global warming in the Arctic have been released by the US military. The photographs, taken by spy satellites over the past decade, confirm that in recent years vast areas in high latitudes have lost their ice cover in summer months.
The pictures, kept secret by Washington during the presidency of George W Bush, were declassified by the White House last week. President Barack Obama is currently trying to galvanise Congress and the American public to take action to halt catastrophic climate change caused by rising levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

I recall that the ice sheets are GROWING at the South Pole.

Ya know... come to think of it we had snow on the ground a few short months ago, and now its all gone.

Will they also release the photos showing the fastest and largest growth of Arctic sea ice in 28 years, as occurred this past winter?
It is cold! And I live on the equator. There ain’t no global warming.
How about the pictures of Mars, which have also shown a catastrophic loss in polar ice over the last few years? But not having a single iota to do with human-caused CO2. (The rover nowithstanding.)

Wind more then any thing else determines where the sea ice will be in late spring/summer. If the wind is blowing towards Alaska the ice will pile up on the shores of Alaska. If the wind is blowing away from Alaska the ice will not be piling up on Alaska's shores. Simple as that, all these pictures show is which way the wind was blowing on the day they were taken.
