ROTHSCHILD (WAOW)-- A sign directing drivers onto Business Highway 51 in Rothschild spelled every word incorrectly except for "exit."
A spokesperson with the Department of Transportation says it should be fixed tomorrow morning. He says the company who made the sign apparently just put a few letters out of order and added some extra letters. He joked that it was quote "just a bad day" for whoever made it.

What does this say about the sign installer? The manufacturer of the sign? The quality control people?
It would help if they told us what state this is. I went to the Web site and it was hard to tell at first, but apparently this happened in Wisconsin.
And what does this say about quality control at the government level?

FWIW, this is from Channel 9 in Wausua, Wisconsin. Whenever posting to a site that’s read internationally, it’s a good idea to note the location of the story. Local television stations are notorious for not identifying the cities or states they cover, as they assume everyone who accesses the site is familiar with the local area.

This reminds me of the “on the spot” interviews with College kids about 0bama and Palin. Every one of them got the questions wrong, except the one about being able to see Russia from her front porch, which was a twisted fabrication of what she really said.
What difference does it make? We’re a happy, united and loving multicultural society. So loving even, that we don’t care that a Kenyan is in the WH.
Ya know, I live in the smallest county in NY. when I pos local news I always say whrer it’s from. I do not assumme that everyone is familiar with some podunk town’s name. Even if you go to link it’s not clear where it is. It should be a FR rule to state the location. It’s just annoying.
