Dang! That is a great Churchill quote I’ve never heard before!
Romney’s the democrat’s favorite republican candidate. Like Maverick John, a safe man for (us) to lose with.

Exactly right.
I don’t think a lot of analysis really needs to be made to come up with the conclusion that Romney is a loser.
In 2008, he was the most well funded candidate in the Republican field- bankrolled with his own money, so he didn’t even have to spend much time fundraising.
His results were miserable.
I see no way in heck that Romney stands a chance against Obama even if unemployment is 20% and we have hyperinflation and stuck in a quagmire in Darfur by November ‘12.
It never ceases to amaze me the lengths to which the Romneybots will go to pimp their favorite liberal. It’s blindingly obvious that the guy is unsuitable to be elected dog catcher. Yet, they continue to press on, clinging to the flimsiest of reasoning.
He can’t win because at heart he isn’t a conservative. Forcing his constituents to take or purchase health insurance isn’t something a conservative would do. I don’t care how damn pretty he is (Edwards was pretty too - see where that got him).....Go away Mitt.
Why do the GoP powers that be keep flogging their base with their disdain for returning to solid rooted politics?
And unless the RNC corrects the early primary schedule he’ll get the nomination.
Not that Steele seems interested in such mundane tasks.
Well, who else do you have that can win? Palin? C’mon. That guarantees Obama for a second term.
Unless the Republicans can come up with a better candidate, I would stop the Romney bashing. Why? Because the Democrats will use it.
Remember, Daily Kos and other leftist groups monitor this site.
They also need to stop the idiotic practice of "open" primaries in those states where democrats get help us pick a candidate. It's causes nothing but problems.
We wouldn't have had McCain if it weren't for open primaries; thus we possibly wouldn't have had Maobama.
He’s too liberal for us and not liberal enough for them.
The GOP has no leadership other than Palin. I know I am not going to vote for the same, old usual suspect, go along-get along, beaten-down, lily-livered white males. If that guarantees Zer0 a second term, then so be it. The GOP had better get its act together and fast, or it will have no act at all.
Romney would lose. Mass-care is bankrupt. Nuff said.
I find Romney a little nervous type. Also he went for the lame Romneycare. I hope the Republicans do not try to shove him down our throats in 12.
We are out to drive Mitt Romney from the ranks of possible republican candidates, it is the right thing to do.
freerepublic is probably the top, most effective anti-Romney source in the land, isn't that cool?
Romney is not my first, second, or third choice, but he could win.
