AMMON - The woman responsible for creating an online fraud involving the Livestrong foundation has been found dead in her car.
Meet 15-year-old Jonathan Jay White. A young boy from Ammon, Idaho fighting for his life against brain cancer. The boy blogs of his optimism and strength, having swooned the hearts of many across the world including donations of generous funds.
The world now knows him as 24-year-old Melissa Rice. The woman behind the cancer, the blogs, and all the lies.
Recently Lance Armstrong, the boy's major contributor with the Livestrong Foundation, received disturbing news. Rice confessed there was no little boy and there was definitely no cancer patient.
Bonneville County Sheriff's office served a search warrant to Rice's house Tuesday. They didn't find her, but found tons of donations and celebrity memorabilia.
A day later, police found Rice dead in her car five miles south of Henry's Canyon.

Suicide obviously....or did she just look in the mirror and die of fright?

During the middle of the health care reform debates we see a story on how private citizens helped out. Then there’s the fraud involved. One is a lesson for the Democrats, the latter is for our citizens.

No mention of how she died.
I’m guessing some common terminal disease like cranial lead poisoning.

Obviously this woman had issues.

For folks who don't know the area, Ammon is a small city on the eastern boundary of Idaho Falls. Henry's canyon is northwest in the Island Park area. You get there by traveling up state route 20 on the way to West Yellowstone, MT.

She provided a service to altruists. Her enterprise allowed them an opportunity to express their philosophy and a chance to feel better about themselves. This spectacle goes on every day but rarely gets in the headlines.

The Human Fund.
BTW, I'm starting my own Human Fund. Anyone want to contribute? It's for a good cause: me!

My wife is actually on the way to Yellowstone National Park as I write this. The weather is crappy and rainy. No matter. It's her day off. She's headed to the Hayden valley to photograph bison today.

I once had to work in Yellowstone for a month. Not a bad place, cept for the tour-roids and Griz. You have to keep your eyes moving when you walk around up there.

At this point there’s no telling why Rice made up the boy and we may never know.
Well I wonder.....might MONEY be the motivating factor?
And how did she die? Was it suicide? Not a very well written article.
