Tonight, President Obama weighed in to the recent news about a black professor being arrested for disturbing the peace after police responded to reports that someone was breaking into his house. Obama responded to a question that the police acted stupid in arresting the professor, and that, uh, well, black people get pulled over by the police disproportionately.
I couldn't believe he chose to comment on this issue as President, first of all. It's way, way, way not in his lane. But secondly, it is highly premature to categorize the police's actions as right or wrong. He went further than that and called it outright stupid.
Given that the police are our primary protectors from criminals in this country, that they are all trained in reacting to very difficult and vague situations, and that they do this for crappy salaries, I find it very difficult to understand why Obama would choose to call them stupid on national television. Furthermore, even politically correct, Northeastern liberal police chiefs will hold their judgment in most cases simply because they don't want to spread discord within their force that the leadership doesn't back them up.
This President has shown tonight that he is an ignoramous. His alleged polish in front of the cameras has proven to be nothing more than the teleprompter. I wish I could say to this cop that I support him and I think I can understand why he decided to arrest the professor, and that he's not stupid.
As simply general practice, the POTUS should refrain from commenting on specific criminal cases, regardless who/what is involved. What a moran.

Even most of the liberal Boston blue-bloods are on the cop’s side. Act like an ass towards “da po-po”, and you really shouldn’t be surprised by the result.
Next he’ll be saying OJ was innocent.

I am surprised that Obama is stupid enough to get involved in this dispute, I have a hard time imagining this will go over well with any police department in the country. And this is one of the few cases where I think that the police were actually right, of the ones that grab huge amounts of media attention.
So we can believe:
1 - blacks are harrassed by cops
2 - all cops are white and harrass black people
3 - neither of these statements is racist or shows the slightest bit of racial prejudice (because they’re liberal ideas)
keep in mind,, wasn’t O a law professor at one time when he wasn’t performing community activism.

I will tell you, this was the most outrageous comment from a President of the United States I have heard in years.
I'd bet the rent this was a set up question, and when Obama started broadcasting to the world, suggesting these cops were racist, it was just absolutely unbelievable.
Obama is all over the board with his comments. He is not focused and cannot answer question without prepared remarks for him. He is in over his head and will ruin the country
if he does not slow down a little. Is he on speed?

I think of the two whose police reports have been released, one was white and one Latino. However, I think one of the pictures about the story showed a black cop as well.
And to respond to the OP, yes, this is just one more example of Obama overstepping his Constitutional bounds to meddle in the affairs of private citizens, and of course to perpetuate the leftist talking point that all blacks are victims.
He was an "adjunct" - which is basically anybody with a law degree that the dean of first-year students can beg, con, or threaten into teaching a few first-year students basic stuff, like how to find the courthouse.
He is SUCH a liar, it's hard to keep up with all the lies.
