The other thing the BDD will have to worry about is that the nation is sick of Pelosi as Speaker - it isn’t that the BDD’s are on the right side of the issue with their constituents, it’s that it will be a fight for re-election when the challenger is able to point at Pelosi and say “do you really want this monstrous woman in power for ANOTHER two years?” BDD may be conservative - but as Democrats, they keep Pelosi in power.

That was reported yesterday and noticed it said a “small” breakthrough. Certainly not one to warrant the bill getting passed.

I have no such faith in anything that wears the Democrat label. Obama’s meeting with them, his “ordering” the head of the CBO to a meeting at the White House, his speaking on TV this evening, all point toward a concerted effort to get this legislation passed post haste. Include in that his statement, as reported by Senator Grassley, to the effect that his administration would fail, and it all comes down to his hubris. He’s pulled out the stops. When it comes to party-line politics, the Democrats are winners hands down. Do NOT put anything past them.
I don’t believe the Dems are looking out for anything but their own selfish interests and don’t care if they destroy the nation in the process. I was just scared that some big breakthrough had happened with O and the so-called Blue Dogs and something was going to get passed after all. So am relieved that it was just this minor agreement that came out of the mtg yesterday.

These people are getting pressure like we've never seen before. Sure, the pressure is also coming from constituents, but Obama and Pelosi can bring a whole lot of political pressure to bear. I don't have the confidence at this point that they're up to the task of resisting Obama.
Well, there’s an AP poll that came out today that again shows decreased support for O and his plans. But I agree we must not let our guard down and continue to fight against this monstrosity.

NOT only that....but Republican’s should demand ALL CONGRESS CRITTERS have to live under the LAWS THEY MAKE! ALL OF THEM! No “separate” benefits/laws for THEM.
