A telling episode recounted by Senate Finance ranking member Charles Grassley reveals the Obama administration might be more worried than they are letting on that a Republican senator's comparison of the healthcare overhaul to Waterloo might be dangerously close to the truth.
Grassley said he spoke with a Democratic House member last week who shared Obama's bleak reaction during a private meeting to reports that some factions of House Democrats were lining up to stall or even take down the overhaul unless leaders made major changes.
"Let's just lay everything on the table," Grassley said. "A Democrat congressman last week told me after a conversation with the president that the president had trouble in the House of Representatives, and it wasn't going to pass if there weren't some changes made ... and the president says, 'You're going to destroy my presidency.' "

“and the president says, ‘You’re going to destroy my presidency.’ “
Didn’t Oblahblah just say yesterday that it’s not about him??
.. and the president says, ‘You’re going to destroy my presidency.’ “
But it’s not about him, right?
...”and the president says, ‘You’re going to destroy my presidency.’”...
But wait, I thought this was not about Barack Obama??? Lies again.
Could it be that there are a few democrat politicians who -unlike Obama - put the interests of Americans and America ahead of personal agenda? Could it be?
“’You’re going to destroy my presidency.’ “
I thought Obama said this isn’t about him! Liar!
Maybe the blue dog democrats have realized it is their patriotic duty to stop Obama in his tracks before he does further damage to our great nation.
Hannity showed a montage of clips of Obama talking about “re-making America.” It was creepy.
Leaving aside Hussein Obama's repeated statements that it's not about me, his presidency needs to be well and truly destroyed, before it destroys the United States of America.
Once a Rat, always a Rat.
No no no no no no no... whatever gave you that idea ??
He's doing a fine job on his own, but we're happy to help. If he goes out tonight and says what Drudge has reported, "We rescued the economy," he's done. As many Freepers have pointed out in other threads, it's not only a "Waterloo," but an equivalent of Bush's "Mission Accomplished."
We're trying, Obama. But give us time, we're only just coordinating our resources and gathering strength.

The Charge of the Union Brigade consisting of the Royal Scots Greys, Royal Dragoons and Iniskilling Dragoons broke the back of French Infantry at Waterloo.
“Didnt Oblahblah just say yesterday that its not about him??”
My goodness, would you stop with the common sense already...hahahh
NO Mr. President! Your GIANT EGO (”it’s not about me”) is what is going to destroy your presidency!!!! Best destroy your presidency than the nation!!!
Hopefully the courage of the “Blue Dogs” will not wavier in the face of cleary the gangster tatics to come!
“Could it be that there are a few democrat politicians who -unlike Obama - put the interests of Americans and America ahead of personal agenda? Could it be?”
Not a chance. I suspect that of the 535 members of Congress, you could count on one hand the members who actually care about America and Americans first. That’s regardless of the D or R behind their name.
More likely, it’s Democrats from a more conservative constituency who are worried about saving their own skins.
But zer0, you said it wasn't about you, so this may be necessary. Whaddaya say you bend over and take one for the team, eh?
I disagree. I'm sick of the French wing of the party always being afraid of their own shadows.
Good on DeMint for calling a spade a spade. Most Americans need that straight talk to get them out of their comas.
