Investigator: Palin May Have Violated Ethics Laws An independent investigator has found evidence that Gov. Sarah Palin may have violated ethics laws by accepting private donations to pay her legal debts.
"All options are open in terms of legal remedies. It is a clear violation of Alaska law that Mr. Daniel explicitly reviewed with Ms. Chatman prior to her illegal actions. We will be contacting the appropriate authorities for review and action."

You know what would happen if the ideologies were reversed?
Some goonion thugs would be rapping on the guy’s door saying something like
“it’d be a shame if something happened to you and your family over these frivolous ethics complaints”.

So her ALLEGED POSSIBLE ethics violation involves obtaining the means to defend herself against the hundreds of other ALLEGED ethics violations.
Can’t wait for her op/ed on the Obama DeathCare plan.
I think it’s hilarious that they call it “private” donations when the site has been public for months. Everyone knew about it, I donated it to it along with thousands of others. It wasn’t created by Sarah, it was created by her best friend Kristan Cole. If they want to raise money to help Sarah that is fine. Heck I can go outside right now, have a lemonade stand and raise money for Sarah and that is perfectly legal
In Alaska, She stood in the way of corporate pet projects. Expect a huge fight to get nominated. But still, she's the best shot to recover our liberty.
But expect scads of corporate money to go against her for both the nomination and the general election.
Some preemptive letters and threats of boycotts against those likely to contribute to her opponents may make sense.
“I believe that Palin is going to take it to them like no Repub has taken it to the left in decades.”

Too often, it appears the Palins are having to go it alone.
So in Alaska it is an ethical violation for PRIVATE CITIZENS to donate to help Sarah out to help her defray expenses incurred from previous ethics complaints.
Remember the last scene in It’s a Wonderful Life where the townspeople take up a collection for George Bailey to help him replace the S &L money that Uncle Billy lost.
Isn’t that what a legal defense fund is really: just passing the hat around, but in a more formal manner?
