Well, it’s not like the person is secret to the major players (Palin, etc.). They must know who it is. It’s just that we don’t. I can’t wait to see what a google search turns up on the investigator.

So I guess conservatives are not allowed the luxury of defending themselves?

I want SP to be a strong advocate for conservatism, and think she can do it without running.

And I agree: she needs to, as a private citizen, make a cottage industry out of making these commies’ lives miserable.

I think conservative people should start ethics investigations against all sitting Democrats. God knows, it is much more fertile ground.

There doesn’t seem to be any further info from AK media sources, so this may just be more of the same much ado about nothing

More bullshiit!!!

An independent investigator has found evidence that Gov. Sarah Palin may have violated ethics laws by accepting private donations to pay her legal debts.

The report obtained by The Associated Press says Palin is securing unwarranted benefits and receiving improper gifts through the Alaska Fund Trust, set up by supporters.

An investigator for the state Personnel Board says in his July 14 report that there is probable cause to believe Palin used or attempted to use her official position for personal gain because she authorized the creation of the trust as the “official” legal defense fund.

The fund aims to help Palin pay off debts stemming from multiple ethics complaints against her, most of which have been dismissed. Palin says she owes more than $500,000 in legal fees.

A call seeking comment from her lawyer was not immediately returned.

The word “may” covers the legality of libel but this is a smear pure and simple.

But it doesn't cover deliberate harrassment. And if this is the one Andree Mc:epd filed, I think that would be a good place to start the round of lawsuits, in that she has publicly stated that she will never let Sarah Alone.
