Is that what would happen?
I have often wondered about this...If he is deemed ineligible, is not the whole election then ineligible?
Shouldn't Bush/Cheney go back to the White House until a new election can take place? Or would McCain/Palin assume power?
Why would the whole election be ineligible?
He would be the president, until things got straightened out, which, realistically, would probably take us to the next election.
Why would the losers and the ex-pres, be put into power? Besides, do you think congress would let that happen?
If Biden is deemed ineligible then Pelosi is president.
Shouldn't Bush/Cheney go back to the White House until a new election can take place?
No. Two terms is all that's allowed.
Or would McCain/Palin assume power?
No, they lost the election.
One talking head mentioned either Biden will be Prez or new election, starting over from scratch, with Biden temporary Prez.
Well, if a candidate is found to be ineligible, his electoral votes are tossed out, right? So John McCain would win the election by default. Not sure about Sarah, though. Maybe it would be McCain-Biden. Actually, they would probably be pretty compatible.
