New York Rep. Carolyn Maloney, a Democrat, apologized Monday for using the N word in a recent interview while recounting a phone call she had received.
"I apologize for having repeated a word I find disgusting," Maloney said in a statement. "It's no excuse but I was so caught up in relaying the story exactly as it was told to me that, in doing so, I repeated a word that should never be repeated."

Whenever you are on the same side of an argument with Al Sharpton, it’s time to re-evaluate.
Had this been a Republican the Dems would have both claws out demanding her resignation.
They should do the same for one of their own.
“New York Rep. Carolyn Maloney, a Democrat, apologized Monday for using the N word...”
.
The black RATs probably know but don’t mind that she uses the N-word repeatedly in private conversation. It’s when she does it publicly that they get annoyed and expect an apology from her.
If it had been a Republican who had uttered the word, only his/her subsequent resignation would have been acceptable.
Precisely. Even when retelling a story - anyone who REALLY finds that word repugnant would NEVER have used it. They would have said “n word” or “a word I won’t repeat beginning with “n.”
Heck, I have trouble saying the second half of Governor Ah-nold’s name out loud because it sounds like...well, you know.
By the way - how much MSM air time did Boxer’s condescending treatment of Mr. Alford get? I’m thinking NONE.
Geez , it’s just a word.
This word has become a monster , Its just a word. I know plenty that are worse. Careers lost over it.
It’s BS. Blacks use it all the time, but its the end of the world if used by a white.
Is anyone else getting sick of people who take offense at tle least slight.?
She shouldn’t have apologized. She was recounting a conversation she had over the phone, she didn’t call someone a n*&%*r directly. Of course the PC and thought police in the Democrat Party made her apologize, they have no respect for free speech.
She should resign just like they would demand a Republican resign, even for just recounting a story that contained that word.
I disagree, I am glad the Republicans aren’t jumping on this as far as I know. No need to compete with Democrats as the Speech Police.
I agree with you,It’s just a word. Not even a vulgar word, just a slang pronunciation. How about M`*****r F****r, That is how most sentences start and end in “ebonics” isn’t it?
Unless you're a democrat.
Hey Maloney Baloney - eat me!
Not to defend a democrat,...then DON’T! See how simple it is?
Maloney said. “I don’t know-I don’t know if that’s true or not. I just called. I’m just throwing that out.”
Intentional.
It has in every ebonics class I ever took and I took a few.
You have to be careful ,for when you have heard it enough before you know it, it begins to become part of the vocabulary when speaking to certain people.
Persons that annoy you.
Now, Complete the phrase Mr. Marsh.
C_rolyn M_loney, Democr_t,
Mums the word!
It’s a DEMONCRAT that slipped!
after all the "N word" means....um....the N word.
