Evolution’s Guiding Hand Is Far From Obvious

July 17, 2009 — A recent example of applying evolutionism to everything was seen on Science Daily and PhysOrg last week. Some psychologists are telling us that evolution taught us to take turns. “It’s not just good manners to wait your turn -- it’s actually down to evolution, according to new research by University of Leicester psychologists.”

Cooperation among animals of a species and between species is well known. These psychologists came up with an evolutionary reason for it: there is an “invisible hand,” they said, “that guides our actions in this respect.” The study by Andrew Colman and Lindsay Browning “has helped to explain the evolution of cooperative turn-taking”...

Haven’t those folks ever been in a construction zone where 2 lanes have to merge into 1?

I’ve always assumed that if any of the English or French kings or any of the pharoahs of Egypt or Genghis Khan or any such were to fall into our present world, they’d be killed in traffic within the hour because they’d anticipate people of lower status (i.e. pretty much everybody) to yield right of way under all circumstances.

Sometmes people strain so hard at a gnat ....Does any one even listen to themselves anymore? I guess not. We have the “ invisible hand...” and yet no God; we have the “balanced budget” and yet trillions in deficits; etc etc.

I am either in The Twilight Aone or the Last Days.... you pick ( maybe they are the same)

“I’ll be”? You are putting in the future tense something that happened millions of years ago. You have deviated from the Darwin party line and you must be punished. Hey, someone hook the electrodes up to that man’s head and bury the needle!

[[there is an “invisible hand,” they said,]]

Nope- No God here- nothign to see here- move right along folks, don’t impede the traffic or hte ‘scientists’ o n their way to the temple of darwin- Nature is the miracle worker, intelligent designer, science violating complexity constructor we all suspected it was afterall- After all, These —psychologists— declare it so! Pssst- psychologists- Macroevolution is still impossible- no matrter what supernatural powers you assign it- but ya’ll seem bound and determined to assign nature all the powers of an omnipotent designer “How to construct a god that isn’t God- by Mr. ‘I must deny there is a God, or that God if there is one, had anyhtign to do with the miracles of life’ temple of darwin devotee”

Egads- Give nature all the powers of Omnipoten God, but Deny that God is tjhe designer- Talk about a devotion to a dead end hypothesis.

Well, it’s clearly finished now.

3 psychologists have completed the undermining of Darwinian evolutionary theory by their use of the term guiding hand.

I’m starting to think that Evos are a cross between pagans and animists. What do you think?

PS They also have a streak of Buddhism running through them, as they recognize that nature appears to be designed, but then turn around and tell us the obvious design in nature is all an illusion.

So now evolution has an invisible hand. Wow! Talk about
anthropomorphism. It sounds as if evolutionism has
finally become a “religion” It pervades everything, its’
rules control all of life, it will select against you
if you go against its’ path. Its’ prophets and priests
(western scientists) and scribes(students, reporters, etc)
and subjects (the public) follow a hierarchal like
societal model. If you want a degree in any type of
subject, you first must adhere to the principle of EVOLUTION.

Funny thing, it has no forgiveness.

And its’ main prophets body or what’s left of it, is still in England. I wonder why
his body, fully formed when dead couldn’t somehow reanimate?
Hmmm...he had all systems fully formed. Why didn’t they
just put him in a container with warm steam, some electrical
charges, and watch him reconstruct and reanimate? Huh?
You mean to say some chemical processes (like coagulation,
strong chemical bonds, hydrolysis, etc) in a biological system are
irreversible unless the system is destroyed and rebuilt?
It goes against nature you say? Balderdash!, evolution will
eventually guide the process to life. The prophet is just
one in whom Evolution chose not to reanimate.Coarse nature be
dammed. It is inevitable, evolution always occurs.
Amen and Amen.

In short, we are dealing with the TEMPLE OF DARWIN (masquerading as science)!

Imagine that....behaviors that benefit a population and increase genetic fitness are passed on from one generation to the next.

Stop the presses, a few psychologists just debunked all scientific theories using a computer simulation.

His hand is invisible. But for those with eyes to see, His fingerprints are everywhere.
