If we could get millions of Americans to march on Washington, what would we do?

What if in 2010 EVERY SINGLE ONE of the 218 Congresscritters who voted for cap & trade EVERY SINGLE ONE of the Congresscritters who voted for Obama’s 2 trillion deficit budget and ‘stimulus’ was defeated in 2010? Swept out of office?

While I appreciate your sentiment, I believe that by the 2010 elections it will be too late. The damage being done NOW to the economy of this country will eventually be fatal. There will not be a possibility of ever paying off the debt that's being amassed now. This is the calm before the storm and things are going to get much, much worse. Atlas will shrug...it's just a matter of time.

Also, your fantasy world in which every congresscritter who voted a certain way will be defeated will never happen. Acorn (or whatever they're calling themselves now) and the dems will never let that happen.

I and many others don't see a peaceful end to this Constitutional crisis. The federal government needs to be put back in its place and they won't go quietly into the night!

If alive, Jefferson, Franklin and Madison would be on Jim Rob's side, not yours. Organizing a peaceful demonstration is not treason. Good God....

I would prefer a peaceful secession of the South, the Yankees and their Rino enablers aren't worth it. Let's go for a separation. We would have more luck petitioning state legeslatures IMO.

“When do we begin?”

We’ve begun already. 4/15 TEA Parties, Independence Day, calls to Congresscritters, ObamaCare protests. The 9/12 march is just the next action.

Something to google in a short few weeks - PATRIOT STORM.

“...and stole our Liberty and, apparently, even our will to resist their evil onslaught.”

I was raised by my grandparents and I’m old fashioned in many ways, especially for being a techy, but their generation would not have sat ‘round waiting for the ‘system’ to pay them homage.

They were loud and proud and politicians knew their place then, by and large.

Recent generations are given to acquiescence to a degree and of a type that you can’t call American, really.

It’s strange and frightening.

The left is winning, or so it would appear.

I sincerely believe that we fight right now, or America is on destruction’s expressway.

She will not survive a hard-left government.

This is a seminal moment in our history as a free country and only a few Americans seem to sense it.

To be a conservative radical is to be ready to see the rules followed and then push up the requirement that justice, freedom and the rule of law are the basis for our society. We need to do our own Community Organizing. Organizing at the local, state and national levels so that we have judges and prosecutors who are not corrupt, that will draw up charges against the criminals and then watch the rats run. Frankly, Obama is imploding. As he should. The anger you feel is all across our country and this needs to be felt at the ballot box this fall, and again in 2010. I love that you have built this place for folks like us to share our thoughts and not be alone. Don't be the author of its destruction by getting impatient.

Well said. I would add that one of Alinsky's Rules was to make the other side live up to its own standards. The Democrats in power have to live up to their promises or eat their own BS words. Make them. Lies about 95% of Americans getting a tax cut? Make them eat those words.

We saw a little of that with Sotomayor. She was Judge Hypocrite for a few days, distancing herself from her radical statements and associations.

By protesting strongly against ObamaCare - "taxpayer funded abortions! Outlaws private health insurance! taxes small business!" we get to see the rotten edifice of liberalism exposed. As the politicians run away from that agenda, the liberals agenda collapses. Waxman-markey example: They tried to use Waxman-Markey as the tax collector for their liberal spending plans. When the costs to consumers was exposed, they papered it up with rebates. Well, that blew the budget out on ObamaCare. and so it goes.

The Obama agenda is a pile of cr*p and will collapse if enough Americans are made to understand whats in it.

Most of the Yahoo’s around here would not recognize a true “Free Republic” if it bite ‘em on the arse. Do states rights mean anything anymore? We live in a Constitutional Empire unfortunately....

Frankly, the Soros bunch who caused this bought the Democrat party. For us, we can have the Republican Party for free if we are willing to sit in the seats and do the work.

Well said.

Hey Freeper, yeah you, the guy or gal reading this: Want better Republican leaders? Then GET INVOLVED in rooting out the bad guys and getting the good guys in the Republican party. One example: Help Marco Rubio defeat pro-stimulus Charlie Crist in Florida GOP primary. or ... run for precinct chair.

You CAN make a difference.

Jim, your writings in this thread may have parsed words enough to not meet the definition of treason, but it certainly reads like sedition. Prepare to be disavowed, marginalized, lose membership, and likely be depicted as a wacko. You may welcome the attention, but I don’t want to be associated with it in any way. Please remove my account from Free Republic. Bye.

Call2Arms?

Now who’s being extreme?

Sedition: an illegal action inciting resistance to lawful authority and tending to cause the disruption or overthrow of the government.

You know how you do this without getting caught?

Get elected POTUS in 2009.

“Prepare to be disavowed, marginalized, lose membership, and likely be depicted as a wacko.”

Life as a non-leftist, I’m afraid.

Have you been off-planet for a while?

"While I appreciate your sentiment, I believe that by the 2010 elections it will be too late. The damage being done NOW to the economy of this country will eventually be fatal."

We have to suffer the consequences of the previous election, and the best we can do is mitigation. What we do NOW is to SHUT DOWN THE OBAMA AGENDA via the INITIMIDATION of people power who have turned AGAINST his agenda. Say NO to: 1. Higher taxes 2. Massive deficit spending. 3. Govt takeover of healthcare 4. Cap-and-trade energy taxes and regs 5. bailouts and corporate takeovers

Even though Pelosi got her 'yes' vote on Waxman-Markey, they had to sell out so much and twist so many arms it was practically a defeat. That alone has slowed their agenda.

Dont forget that Clinton did NOT get healthcare passed ... and we had a healthier economy that could have paid for it... right now, its utter MADNESS to add a trillion dollar govt takeover onto our already bankrupt government. it got stopped then with a lot LESS push-back from the people. FOCUS our efforts on defeating ObamaCare and we have done the most good.

Also, your fantasy world in which every congresscritter who voted a certain way will be defeated ... Oh please. JimRob wants make Secty of State Clinton the President, advocates overturning an election via a rebellion, and you are lecturing *ME* on 'fantasy'. oh puleeeze.

In some Congressional elections, 80 seats have changed parties. a 10 point swing in the election could swing about 40-50 seats. So we wont get Maxine Waters and her welfare-client voters to change? So be it. We COULD and SHOULD get the majority completely overturned. We COULD and SHOULD get EVERY Congresscritter in a 'right-leaning' district who voted wrong to get tossed. That means bye bye to "pelosi poodle" blue dogs, RINOs who voted for cap-n-trade and other pro-obama fakers and socialists.

I and many others don't see a peaceful end to this Constitutional crisis. There is no constitutional crisis. We just have a very bad President and a very bad Congress doing very bad things that will harm our life, liberty and prosperity. Put down the crack pipe, bro. The cure is to discredit his agenda and not to sound like looney extremists ready to start a war. All you do is help the left discredit anti-Obama conservatives with such unwarranted and extreme statements.

Request denied, by the way. Your name is permanently associated with FR. Google has already indexed each and every one of your stinking Obama hatin’ posts and when they come for me, they’ll be gunning for you too. And there’s not a damn thing I can do about it.

It’s a crying shame.

“Then why did he sign an EO on his first day in office banning it’s release? Seems “the one” has something to hide.”

“Seems ... to hide” to “illegal” is a HUGE jump in logic. Unwarranted.

What you call ‘fact’ is mere opinion. Failure to see the difference makes for many dangerous extrapolations.

I happen to like Senator Tom Coburn, the current Senator from Oklahoma. You want the guy to die a horrible death and have his corpse on public display. I stand by my “dreadful” comment, and suggest you have no clue what the founding fathers would think of seditious statements like that - many of whom reacted with horror to the French Revolution, put down the ‘whiskey rebellion’ etc.

This is the generation that let the New Deal happen, re-elected the over-powerful court-packing FDR 3 times, etc.

Huh.
