"Walter Cronkite has died at age 92..."I happened to be watching CBS News and Barack Hussien Obama took this opportunity to stick his face in front of the camera AGAIN!. I am so sick of seeing him.

"I bet the mods are keeping a careful eye on this thread." You got that right. We don't mind Viet Nam vets venting - because we saw the same thing they did.
BUT - keep this in mind, as you vent - keep the reputation of Freerepublic in mind as you post. We will pull the most egregious - so keep it within sane limits.

So passes the first unabashedly politically biased tele-journalist. He never met a Democrat he didn’t like. I suppose we can expect the Michael Jackson treatment for a couple of days.

I agree. His “analysis” of the Tet Offensive was the biggest act of journalistic malpractice in American history.

I remember his last newscast. I was a student at Ohio State and a few of us went down to the tv room at our dorm and watched the news. I know since then alot a lot of us have been upset with him due to his zanny zany liberalism which was caused by G W Bush winning the presidency. But he was a fixture in american ("American" should be capitalized) life if you were of age back then. I guess literacy wasn't a requirement at OSU? Take it easy Buckeye, just kidding..I had a couple of concussions in college too (playing lacrosse), so I feel your pain.

He has been dead to me for YEARS.
Prayers for his family at their loss. I will cry no tears for this man who was an accomplice to the communist take over of SE Asia.

those of us who have suffered the death of loved ones at his hand deserve to dance on his grave cursing and damning him forever. There were two graves I wanted to piss on, communist Cronkite and communist Fonda. Jane is still kicking and will probably out live me so I hope someone else will do it for me.

I was just thinking on my way home today that this commie loving loser was on the verge of kicking it. I hope I will think about the winning lottery numbers on the way home next week.
It’s very hot were Walt is right now. Good riddance!

Yes they did. He caused the anti war movement at the very time we had them by the nuts. And he knew he could not be charged as the traitor he was.

Im 57...Douglas Edwards was a fixture on our evening TV. He was a classy anchorman. Oh you kid! I remember listening to him on the radio before we had a TV.
(I'm only 7 years older than you though.)
To: Mmogamer
Will we have wall to wall Cronkite coverage, ala MJ?
