The Obama administration is pushing for a national healthcare bill this summer and Democrats in the Senate are responding, with a Health, Education, Labor and Pensions committee measure that would make healthcare both a right and a responsibility.

So now the federal government is taking a leaf out of Mitt Romney's Massachusetts book, with its intention to force citizens to obtain health insurance at the end of a gun. Many support this, too, with a poll last year showing that even 52 percent of Republicans find this kind of coercion palatable. (Although we should always take the findings of one poll with a grain of salt. That is, until the health czars prohibit that sort of thing.) Of course, their reasoning isn't hard to grasp. They figure that the uninsured cost the system money, so they should be forced to step up to the plate. But the point many seem to ignore is that this isn't a problem of the free market — it's a problem of socialism. It arises when you force people to be responsible for the consequences of others' decisions.

Bear in mind that an MRI machine costs approximately $2 million to buy and $800,000 per year to run, and it costs the better part of $1 billion to research, develop, and bring a new medication to market. And what happens when you remove profit from the system? Well, note that the whole nation of Canada, with its much touted socialized medicine, has fewer MRI machines than the city of Pittsburgh.

After all, once we get bombarded with tear jerking stories of career welfare leeches that the MSM will have on TV one after the other, lamenting how they are being denied their right to healthscare - how can a selfserving polition deny a "right" to Govt. bloodsuckers that Europe and Canada offer their leeches?

In my opinion that leader has stepped up and they are trying to destroy her both financially and personally. Sarah Palin in my opinion is the only politician who I believe has what it takes to stand up to this BS and rally the troops against it. They always say the flack is heaviest when you're over the target. The elitist are out to destroy her, which tells me she is the one for me. Isn't it amazing that by her words and actions that she has shown more balls than Romney, Huckabee, McCain and the others combined?
Or contrast Sarah Palin to a marxist/soliciast believing person who hates this country and would rather reap the admiration of the rest of the American hating world by turning his back on all we were founded upon. Or how about a blow-dried RINO that seeks to gain from the masses by showing he it ain't quite as bad but is marxist-light. Or how about a RINO that has a TV show on FOX that is nothing more than a toned down Oprah show with the theme - Can't we all get along?

Probably not a fair example. When steel collapsed the Democrat powers that run Western PA decided that we were going to become a “World-Class Medical Center”. Hence our largest employers are now the University of Pittsburgh, UPMC and BC/BS (all heavily Government supported). The result is that there is a UPMC clinic with some sort of MRI equipment on virtually every corner. MRI’s are likely far over-represented here given our population, and most of them would probably disappear without taxpayer subsidies.
Rats are substantially raising taxes on everyone, but the lowest rungs will have the hardest time paying more for everything (crap and tax will become a value added tax on any physical or tangible item - like watching the MSM on TV - and is levied cumulatively up and down every transition point - extract the energy, convert the energy, use the energy to till the soil for food or alternative energy). These useful idiots will be ever more dependent on state handouts.
The term "health care reform" must be one of those bogus catch phrases derived from focus groups and polling. Yeah right! Reform! Pay a lot more, get a lot less. These idiots, mainly from the lower 50 % of people who don't give a damn because they don't contribute money to pay for their programs are completely out of touch since they have no ownership stake in the process. These idiots don't realize they WILL get hit with costs (have less money in their pocket) and will get a lower quality of care to boot.
Meanwhile, the rest of us who do all the heavy lifting will not be able to pull hard enough to keep dragging the deadbeats along - providing things like jobs, free this and that. It's too late to for them wake up to the coming unpleasant reality.

Rush was just reading from page 16 of the health coverage bill. It was pretty depressing.
1) Upon passage of the bill, it will become illegal for anyone to buy or sell a private insurance policy.
2) HSA option is to be eliminated.
What that means is that upon passage of the bill, I will no longer have a valid private insurance policy. I will not be allowed to purchase a private policy, nor will my employer be allowed to purchase one for me. I will be required to take the public health care option. I better stock up on lead.......
And then later I added:
I have decided that I will not sign up for the public policy. When they fine me, I will not pay them. When they serve me with the arrest warrant, I will not turn myself in. When they bang down my door to take me to jail, well, that is the day that I will make the news!
I will not give my physical being to the government to manage.
The elitists, whether they are the president or some hemp stinkin’ dreadlocked junior college student,
see themselves as the neo-nobility in the new feudalist America that they seek to “change” our country into.

The SEIU had their rent-a-picket crew out in downtown Indianapolis on Wednesday plugging Baraqqicare.
What disgusts me is that all the local tv news outlets present video of this like it’s some kind of legitimate public support for socialized medicine rather than a bunch of union hacks diverted from their janitor jobs for the afternoon.
