Good morning, dear ((HUGS))

Yea! Rain!

I see that there's a rare cold front moving down from the north and some of Midwesterners will get a taste of fall weather.

Good morning beachy, and (((HUGS))) to you too.

Well, we had north wind earlier, but that has already quit. It is so hot here. I do hope we get some rain. We are under extreme drought here.

We are under mandatory water rationing already. The lake is over 40 feet below full and about 20 feet below normal for this time of the year.

Speaking of wind, did either of you get any of that damaging wind that was rolling through?

Hey folks!!!!!!:-D

Well, first off let me just say for future reference in case by chance at some point I don't make my appearance at the usual time in the Canteen that all of the electronic stuff in the house with the exception of the laptop are AC powered and there are are no battery back ups. A few days ago if you'll remember we did have a late night/early morning power outage in our part of town which turned out to be the result of a blown transformer.

Sometimes the city electric folks will respond to things like this, sometimes they just sleep through it.

We do have ten hours of free dial-up a month but the speeds are kind of slow and sometimes the laptop battery tends to run out rather with this kind of thing.

So, just so you know and don't get too apprehensive if and when it comes to the point where there is no power in our house around 5 AM when we normally get on FR and as a result are unable to do so.

We did have some storms move through parts of Oklahoma yesterday. There was some wind damage around the OKC Metro. We almost lost power a few times last night. The storms here in Southwest Oklahoma produced 60-70 MPH winds.

Thankfully they fell apart as they closed in on our part of the area. Unfortunately we didn't get any rain.

There is some more in the forecast for later today and tonight.

Chuck is going to go to hte pacemaker doctor later today. It's expected he will be getting a brand new pacemaker soon.

Not much else is going on.

Hi E.G.C.
I hope they get your electric repaired today. That has to be frustrating.

Prayers for Chuck and his appointment. I hope he is feeling well!
