Vice President Joe Biden told people attending an AARP town hall meeting that unless the Democrat-supported health care plan becomes law the nation will go bankrupt and that the only way to avoid that fate is for the government to spend more money.
And folks look, AARP knows and the people working here today know, the president knows, and I know, that the status quo is simply not acceptable, Biden said at the event on Thursday in Alexandria, Va. Its totally unacceptable. And its completely unsustainable. Even if we wanted to keep it the way we have it. It cant do it financially

The Obama admin has ZERO credibility on healthcare and the economy.
Smilin Joe Biden; the gift that keeps on giving.
“We Had to Destroy the Village in order to Save It”
I’m surprised he didn’t use the liberal’s favorite substitute for ‘spend’ — which is ‘invest’.
Drudge swamped the CNSNews server. This might be so stupid they are forced to cover it with a cute “There goes Joe” quip on the morning shows.
Joe Biden is an idiot.

Joe Biden makes Joey Buttafucco look like the smartest man to ever walk the earth. Someone should stick a turkey in his mouth.
Joe gets it right again.
Acutally, Palin said this, but was wearing a Biden mask < /steve-b >
They just don’t make them like Joe any more. Oh wait his moron failed-the-bar-4-times but-still-became-Attorney General-of-Delaware because-of-his-last-name son is running for the Senate.
So I should ‘invest’ in a new LCD TV, a BMW 750, and a shopping spree at Barney’s to keep from going bankrupt? Thanks for the advice, Veep!
“”....the status quo is simply not acceptable, Biden said...””
This line of thought is about the only thing I agree with obama on. Ten or twenty years from now, we will wish we would have done something, I am just not sure what they want to do now is the right way to go.
I never believed in conspiracies, but after seeing Obama elected, the stimulus etc.etc., and now this - I think I can say with confidence: Someone has put crack in the contrails.
Okay, I can understand investing money wisely to generate future revenues in order avoid bankruptcy, but to spend money on programs that generate no productivity or revenues and say that this will stop us from going bankrupt, well that’s like a company increasing spending on benefits like medical insurance and expecting that somehow this will increase employee productivity.
The money is gone, employees see no difference in their work environment except in the off chance they get now opt for acupuncture instead of hospital treatment, and most employees rarely take advantage of their health insurance. I wish Bush had succeeded with the health savings plan. Darnit.
