Within the margin of error, as these early polls of Republican frontrunners always are. Interestingly, while Sarahcuda’s favorable rating among Republicans remains dramatically higher than either Mitt’s or Huck’s (partly due to the fact that she’s much better known), she can’t put any daylight between herself and them as a choice for the nomination. And then there’s this:

and he’ll have five husky sons to campaign with him...as young women, young mothers their age deploy into hazardous fire zones, many for the second and third time. How disgusting.

I do not care what the polls say Romney will not be the Republican nominee.

As I’ve said before, Romney is doing all the right things (politically) to be the GOP candidate. Palin is the lightning rod for negativity. Huckabee is a talk show host. There are no other potential candidates listed in these polls. The GOP gets Romney by default. It’s the way things are set up; our election process has become a farce, run by the east coast elites as a theater of the absurd.

Well, happily for me I have Election Day off as the Courthouse is closed. I have a free day to go travel or do something enjoyable. I have voted in every election, general and primary, since my 18th birthday. That streak is going to end. I won’t be party to this any longer.

The numbers would be different if us ex-republicans were thrown into the mix. Those of us who are still willing to vote, that is.

When did Gallup learn to find Republicans?
Their systematic and intentional avoidance of us for so many years makes me doubt their ability to properly sample a ‘GOP only’ poll.

Romney will not be the Republican nominee.

I never thought McCain would be, but....

If Romney is, however, he will not win against Obama -- unless Obama screws up so badly the Dems dump him for Clinton.

Neither of which (Romney wins against Obama; Dems dump Obama for Clinton) will happen.

Gallup had a poll a week or 10 days ago, basically the same question. In that poll Romney was 25, Sarah was 24 and Huck not far down. Sarah had a much higher approval rating....I just remembered it was of Republicans only.

I guess Gallup knows a lot of Republicans to ask, eh? lol

The pollsters are all crooks, they all have an agenda. From Ras to Fox, in fact Fox has one of the worst polls, very liberal...done by a bunch of libs in Manchester.

Even if he is the nominee he’ll still lose. I won’t vote for him and anybody who wants to use the scare tactic of threatening me with Obama can shove it hard and deep.

The days of the scare tactic working are over.

LOL! If this gutter garbage actually reflects reality, then I would say it's time to let the Republican party die a rightful death by being absorbed by the Democrat party. Time to start a new party that is not composed of the status-quo politicians that no longer feel the need to actually serve their constituents.

Not a Mitt hater at all. I agree with all his (current) positions, and I would definitely vote for him if he were the nominee.

The problem is, people just don’t like him. He can’t win.

His problem is not the same as Palin’s or Newt Gingrich’s; they have been demonized with the full force of the media and the culture.

But they haven’t gone after Mitt at all, not even a little. The only time I’ve noticed Mitt being mentioned in popular culture was Letterman’s “Mitt Romney is a very handsome man” skit last year.

The fact that they don’t fear Mitt at all, not even in the slightest, speaks volumes.

I think he probably will. I’m not making an editorial comment there, but a political prognostication.
