Two Israeli missile class warships have sailed through the Suez Canal ten days after a submarine capable of launching a nuclear missile strike, in preparation for a possible attack on Irans nuclear facilities.
The deployment into the Red Sea, confirmed by Israeli officials, was a clear signal that Israel was able to put its strike force within range of Iran at short notice. It came before long-range exercises by the Israeli air force in America later this month and the test of a missile defence shield at a US missile range in the Pacific Ocean.

Amen.
And to my friends in the IDF, good hunting and Godspeed.
Israel is not.
Cheers!
IMHO the oil companies are BHOs next targets. Wait for it......

Please read this thread. It will give you some background on Iran's president and his belief in the 12th Imam. Once the 12th Imam arrives there will be an Islamic Utopia throughout the world. How does a Shiite go about bringing the 12th Imam back? By way of apocalypse.
I'm serious. Read the thread and ask yourself - do you really want nukes in the hands of someone like this?
Front man,
The phrase “sovereign nation” is action packed with meaning. Besides being a place that has borders, language, and culture (thank you Michael S!), it must also have as part of its definition the care of the common good. That is, authority to govern comes, not as we have been educated to believe from the consent of the governed, but from the simple act of taking up the care of the common good. A father of a family, since he has taken upon himself the care of his wife and children, receives authority from God to govern and protect them. The state, insofar as it seeks to bring about the justice condition, which is a necessary precondition for the free exercise of virtue, has in mind the common good of all, and hence the state, no matter what form of government, has authority from God to achieve this purpose. Any state which does not have the care of the common good of the citizens in mind, is not a legitimate state, cannot be considered “sovereign”, and thus has no authority, nor any rights. Since Iran has no intention of establishing the just condition for its own citizens or those numbered among Jesus brethren, it has no claim to the title of “sovereign nation”, and has no right project power of any kind, especially through the possession or use of nuclear weapons. Any dictatorial regime where the leader serves only his own selfish interests, and not the good of the people, has no authority, and such a regime has no right to exist, and other nations may, as needed, remove such monstrosities, like a surgeon might remove a cancer, from the society of sovereign nations.
Neglecting more pages of hard evidence linking Iran to terrorist activities, worldwide, than I and every person on FR could hope to ever link to in a lifetime...
You're trying to tell us that a country whose leaders in the recent past (Iran-Iraq war) sent untold thousands of their own young children to their deaths in virtually useless suicide attacks on their enemy, and to this day speaks approvingly of their own people's coming martyrdom and dieing in a blaze of glory, would bat an eye at funding or organizing suicide bombers?
I suppose, though, in a sense you are correct. Even the most radical of Iran's Shiite leaders are, as a practical matter, not talking about themselves dieing (as in suicide bombings, or a nuclear holocaust.) They are quite content to have others do the martyrdom thing for them. It's all very reminiscent of Emperor Cartagia in Bablyon 5.
Solution before we get that bad. Hopefully the ballot box version
Nite unk !
I think if they’re confirming it, it’s an exercise.
I would include North Korea on that list. Iran has a counsulate in Pyongyang
Cheers!
I don’t think it will happen in July. There is a three week period of mourning for all the bad things (destruction of both Temples, failure of Bar Kochba rebellion, expulsion of Jews from Spain) that happened to the Jewish people throuout history beginning with a fast and culminating three weeks later on July 30, Tisha B’Av another fast day.
This period is considered very unlucky and Jews commemorate these losses with two fast days.
Pay particular attention to the Gulf of Oman.
+1 Insightful
The last bit of military work I did was some consultation with the IDF about their subs at Haifa Naval Base, about 2 years ago.
I can neither confirm nor deny that they are equipped with special weapons and physics packages. (Though it's difficult saying that with a straight face).
I can however confirm that unlike most computer combat systems, the ones the Dolphins have can be relatively easily configured for new weapons and sensors as they become available. I know, I helped make it.
I really hope they don't have to use any really drastic measures. While the Dolphins could easily "sweep the seas" of the Iranian navy, their other targets would be limited. Hypothetical sub-launched POPEYEs, assuming they exist of course, would be far more suited for retaliatory counter-value strategic strike than pinpoint counter-force tactical targets.
Excellent: Redeploy the Iranian Navy to the sea bed as so many coral condos.
The One Will not be happy if one of his dictator type friends is attacked.
