Well, should've seen this coming: conservative blog Free Republic fired hate speech off at Malia Obama after this photo of her appeared, letting their commenters go to town. But the journalist who reported this as news isn't innocent, either.
Chris Parry of The Vancouver Sun highlighted some of the comments on the mainstream, hard right-wing blog/news aggregator Free Republic. Among them, a picture of Michelle talking to Malia Obama with the caption: "To entertain her daughter, Michelle Obama loves to make monkey sounds." Classy. These mouthbreathing, borderline morons then kept piled on:
"A typical street whore." "A bunch of ghetto thugs." "Ghetto street trash." "Wonder when she will get her first abortion. "Could you imagine what world leaders must be thinking seeing this kind of street trash and that we paid for this kind of street ghetto trash to go over there?" wrote one commenter. "They make me sick .... The whole family... mammy, pappy, the free loadin' mammy-in-law, the misguided chillin', and especially 'lil cuz... This is not the America I want representin' my peeps," wrote another. Such was the onslaught of derision on the site that the person who originally complained about the slurs, a Kristin N., claims only one comment in the first hundred posted actually criticized the remarks as inappropriate.
FreeRepublic claims to be a site that "does not advocate or condone racism, violence, rebellion, secession, or an overthrow of the government." Yet, the thread went down, and back up with the original comments in tact, and then some, notes Chris Parry, the story's writer. Parry was careful and kind enough to - maybe unnecessarily - note the few reasonable voices in the crowd who were conservative, on Free Republic, and not racist. But there're always going to be a few exceptions to the rule, which, as far as you should be concerned, are absolute swamp creatures. Pardon any political incorrectness, but I think you'll agree if you happen to go over and dip your toe in what's mostly a bog of contagiously slimy invective and general retardation.
It gets worse, though. Chris Parry, it appears, has advocated on his Daily Kos blog any number of egregious offenses, among them: posting hate speech on sites like Free Republic and blaming it on conservatives. Parry posted under the name "hollywoodoz" on Daily Kos, where his signature was "Fool me once, I'll punch you in the fucking head." Parry outed himself as hollywoodoz here, where he discloses the company he helped start. In essence: Parry, the journalist, found his story right where he'd been circling it for a very long time, and reported it as news. Sigh.
Bottom line: Parry's noble intentions are paving him a road to hell, by taking the same one the slimeball majority at Free Republic employs. They're probably going to cheer a "mainstream," centrist blog pointing out the offenses of a liberal reporter trying to expose hate speech, but they shouldn't get it mixed up. A quick glance at Free Republic and you'll probably see the same thing I did: some of the most egregious examples that lend credence to the idea that some people just shouldn't be allowed near a keyboard, or to open their mouths, no matter what their political affiliation. Or, as some would have it: STFU.
Wow that guy want’s to describe his site as mainstream and centrist LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.
Right and I am the tooth fairy.
The very vast majority of posters at gawker sites, hate America, say stuff like kick Texas out of the union, screw capitalism. Yeah real centrist thoughts there.
Jim has already posted regarding this nonsense.
If their sensibilities are offended by sarcasm over the liberal pretense of overcoming racism by electing someone president based on skin color because it makes them feel cool, they must never have spent time in the quagmire that is liberal blogs.
Thanks again, Jet Jaguar.
Busy weekend on FR...
I remember that name from several years ago. What was the story on him.
parsy, who is getting older and having senior moments.
Well what also could be done is put a time delay on posting new threads by newcomers until approval by Mods is done.
“You know the truth about the Obama White House is getting out when the libs go into attack mode.”
You don’t get flak unless you are over the target...
I’ve said that I’ll treat the child of my worst enemy as I would treat my own. I’ll go after the parent with every weapon in my arsenal but will not teach his child to hate me.
Difficult, maybe, but I look for an influx of trolls now signing up just TO post this garbage.
When I signed up in 2001, my posts were monitored for some time before they were allowed to hit the site....I think this should definitely be done again.
It appears to many of us that now that Zero's honeymoon is over, the Soros/ACORN/Rahmbo cabal is going to spend the next two years at least trying to take out the conservative voices on radio, TV and the web.
As I stated earlier, the DBM will probably have Chris Parry on MSNBC with Shuster and all their hacks by Tuesday at the latest, with the CNN hacks picking it up from there and Chris Wallace on Sunday.
Sad to say, this all the more proves as Sean Hannity first said this last year, “journalism as we know it is DEAD”. The DU,Huffpol, and KOSKids have taken over the press. Stuff like this shows that we are in a WAR of WORDS.
Agreed.
**About as well as it did for Juan Mccain and the Scared Talk Express...**
Juan McLAME only did one thing RIGHT with his campaign... PALIN!! And then he tried to Leash that. If not for Palin, Juan McLAME,s final vote count would have come very close to matching MONDALE ‘84’s tally.
This is the part the GOP seems to have MISSED. If it hadn’t been for PALIN, I would have voted and left the PRESIDENT Slot EMPTY.

Because it's a legitimate story. Obama tries to give away the farm, defense-wise, to Putin one day, and the next day (Literally) his 11 year-old daughter has a peace sign the size of Texas on her t-shirt. Parents control the attire of 11 year old kids. It's pretty obvious what kind of anti-American message was been sent.
JimRob had no problem with the post. Neither should you.
That’s part of the problem -
the left has defined “racism” to the point that
REACTING to racism, or pointing out unjust racial policies,
IS “racist”.
100% true. I just had a lovely conversation with my best friend of 15+ years. She has always avoided talking to me about politics, mainly because she and I disagreed on many things. But, after talking to her today, she is clearly now a conservative. I was shocked when she admitted that the US is becoming Canada. I said its actually becoming something worse. Then she just railed the MSM. She and I went on and on, back and forth. It was like talking to myself! I knew I loved her for a reason. ;)
....Also, expect more folks to go after not on FR, but the other talkradio show hosts besides efforts to have gone after Rush early this year. I have heard my share of personal attack callers go after not only Sean and Mark, but even for one local mid-morning talkradio show host whom I listen on my local AM radio stations.
“Hate speech” and “hate crimes” are unconstitutional creations of the leftists as a way to persecute and prosecute those who have thoughts they don’t like and who say things they disagree with.
I expect these kinds of extra-constitutional actions from the democrats but despair over the (supposed) republicans who go along with these concepts.
