That's why I love David. He is very reactive as journalist. The more this story is covered, the better is to paint conservatives wingnuts as racists which they really are. Since november 4th 2008, I understand now the true meaning of "conservative : Racist and Bigot" according to some. The Irony is that the Young republicans group picked a racist to lead them :( (TheDailyBeast has a great piece on this story)

Where are the Republicans' outrage ? Where is Steele ? Where is Palin ? Both whined for weeks when Letterman used a poor joke on Palin. They called him every name in the book. But now they are mum ? It's shamefull to use those cruel and vile attacks on a kids who did nothing wrong. What's her crime ? Being black ? Wearing a T-Shirt with a "Peace Symbol" ?

Shuster doesn’t have a leg to stand on. Big difference between independant commentors and talk show hosts who reach millions of people. Go take a look at the huffington post comments about Palin, in face the ARTICLES on Palin there are worse than comments here.

There is a big difference between telling a story impugning the reputation of a 14-year-old girl ON NATIONAL TELEVISION than to make snarky comments about a girl on an internet board.
I would compared this to the Zsa Zsa Post publishing a column (i.e. columnist, not random posters) cracking jokes at Trig Palin.
