I worked in a legislature for many years for a very conservative state rep whose passion was for the pro-life cause.
When I first went there, there was one pro-life Democrat that when the RATs were in control was treated very badly by her caucus. Then Republicans took control and her vote was of some value then. Then RATS took control again and this was several years later and then I realized how useless a pro-life Democrat really is. They have to know as long as they remain Democrats they can have absolutely NO positive effect on any kind of pro-life legislation. It was then I lost respect for her and any other so-called pro-life Democrat legislators who may have been elected.
Pro-lifers should not be fooled into believing these people are of any value in advancing pro-life legislation.
I know my next statement will cause me to get flamed but it's the truth and that is that if we ever are confronted with the choice of a so-called pro-life RAT running against a pro-choice Republican, always choose the pro-choice Republican. It will get our people in positions of power. I've learned my lesson.

But it appears she’s abandoning her principles for the opportunity of a speaking fee. Maybe there is an explation, but I don’t see it.

The great irony is that if the media had just left her alone after the last election, we would probably not even be hearing very much from her. All the media attention has just made her much more popular among her base, has made Sarah Palin a household name, and it now looks as if she may the first woman president!
For over 200 years America has been held hostage by the two party system. Both parties are hopelessly corrupt. Neither will go down quietly and without a fight. Power always fights to preserve its power. Sarah is a threat to both the GOP & the DNC.
God Bless her!

Palin must not understand how important it is for Republicans to gain a majority. Yeah, that really worked out well from 2000 - 2006.

Baloney. I doubt if you ever supported her. Just who do you support? Inquiring minds want to know.

Sarah is a member of the GOP and, therefore, should campaign for GOP members only. You clearly don't understand Palin's strategy. But that's expected from a Romney cheerleader.

it appears shes abandoning her principles for the opportunity of a speaking fee. I think she's making a smart political move as no democrats will ask her to stump for them, yet the public Moderates will applaud down the road when they see she offered. She said it for the general voter IMHO.

You said: “there are no conservative Democrats in congress.”
That may be the case, but it misses the larger point: Palin is willing to work to get conservatives elected. She’s not going to stump for any random liberal Dem that asks her to. I was trying to show greatgrandma that her offer is extended to those office-seekers that are within the “conservative” circle, regardless of whether they’re Republican or Independent or Libertarian or otherwise.

So, you would vote for a republican just because they had an R after their name. I won’t do that again. McCain was the last straw.

You are the one who is irrational. You seem to hate Sarah with a passion.

Well, I’m certainly not going to be a Sarah cheerleader for this type of strategy.
