Washington Times Has Now Updated Title from "EXCLUSIVE: Palin to stump for conservative Democrats"

ANCHORAGE, Alaska | Brushing aside the criticisms of pundits and politicos, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said she plans to jump immediately back into the national political fray — stumping for conservative issues and even Democrats — after she prematurely vacates her elected post at month's end.

The former Republican vice-presidential nominee and heroine to much of the GOP's base said in an interview she views the electorate as embattled and fatigued by nonstop partisanship, and she is eager to campaign for Republicans, independents and even Democrats who share her values on limited government, strong defense and "energy independence."

"I will go around the country on behalf of candidates who believe in the right things, regardless of their party label or affiliation," she said over lunch in her downtown office, 40 miles from her now-famous hometown of Wasilla — population 7,000 — where she began her political career.

The downside risk is electing dems who will later get in line and vote w/Pelosi, Reid & Obeyme.

That TIME photo has become my favorite Sarah image!

May be a brilliant move... any democrat that doesn’t accept will label themselves as a liberal.

She is putting the Reagan coalition together again.
Awesome!

There are conservative issues that can be put together and won with.
Lower taxes, out of control government, illegal immigration, etc..

I broke my promise to myself, and read another Peggy Noonan column

LOL. I managed to keep my promise to myself and did not...and I'm glad. I have seen quite enough of Noonan's inner ugliness to last my lifetime.

“Remember the Reagan Democrats? Maybe we’ll have one day something to call the “Palin Coalition”.”

Do I.

I was one of the original, as was my whole family, Mom, Dad, and all my brother and sisters. I could see it happening again.

Never trust a Democrat, Governor.

Stick to Republicans. They have so earned out trust and confidence.

“Anybody know how many Democrat congressman are pro-life?”

Not many, but a few I think.
There are many more pro life voters who are Democrats; I would guess.

She is reaching across party lines - to voters more than politicians.

Exactly. She will not get a single invitation from a Blue Dog Democrat, but she will attract a lot of conservative Democrat voters and they will cross party lines to vote for her in 2012 just like they did with Reagan.

'Yep, she’s trying to peel off the so-called Blue Dogs. Canny move-—it’s not about Republicans and Democrats, it’s about Conservative values. I wonder how Pelosi and Reid will react?"

Ridiculous. First, there's no such thing as a conservative democrat, period. Second, those so-called, blue dog democrats happily vote for Nancy Pelosi, Stoyer and Reid in leadership positions as well as the likes of Rangel, Waxman et. al. into their committee chairmanships.

And, what does Pelosi and her band of Merry Men do? They freeze out Republicans, you know, the ones who actually vote for conservative principles and values. Palin's going to need a new slogan - Sarah Palin, David Axelrod's Secret Weapon.

Somehow I think she meant independents, not rats. But that’s my interpretation of what she said, which is just as valid as this reporters’ interpretation.
