ANCHORAGE, Alaska | Brushing aside the criticisms of pundits and politicos, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said she plans to jump immediately back into the national political fray stumping for conservative issues and even Democrats after she prematurely vacates her elected post at month's end.
The former Republican vice-presidential nominee and heroine to much of the GOP's base said in an interview she views the electorate as embattled and fatigued by nonstop partisanship, and she is eager to campaign for Republicans, independents and even Democrats who share her values on limited government, strong defense and "energy independence."
"I will go around the country on behalf of candidates who believe in the right things, regardless of their party label or affiliation," she said over lunch in her downtown office, 40 miles from her now-famous hometown of Wasilla population 7,000 where she began her political career.

Irrelevant! McCain never would've said the same thing.
Mind you, he may have said he'd stump for RATS, but he never would've said he'd stump for RATS with Conservative values.
The jury is instructed to ignore the question. Rephrase your question, please.

Bobby Jindal of Louisiana.Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota. And Governor, maybe soon a senator, Charlie Crist of Florida. And Sen. John Thune of South Dakota. former governor Mitt Romney of Massachusetts, former governor Mike Huckabee of Arkansas.
Do this mental exercise. Imagine any of the above coming to speak in your town. Imagine the venue that would be required to accommodate the expected turnout.
Then
Do the same exercise with Sarah Palin.
Compare and contrast.
The MittBots don’t seem to understand that McCain probably picked up at least ten million votes because of Palin.
Don't believe everything, or anything for that matter, that you read at Politico. It's Republicans, holding strong, that's keeping the country from so-called Health Care reform. The Democrats don't want to own this by themselves, so they're trying to peel off some Republicans to show that it's a bipartisan bill. But, the second that they realize their not going to get any, or enough, Republicans, they'll pass the bill. Count on it. And, most of the Blue Dogs will acquiesce rather than face the wrath of Pelosi and Emmanuel.
I WAS a Palin fan—no more. Palin must not understand how important it is for Republicans to gain a majority. She can get lost as far as I’m concerned.
She made her point clear: She'll support those who support her ideas on limited Govermnent, Security and Energy.
“First, there’s no such thing as a conservative democrat, period.”
BullBarack! My parents are gun-owning, bible believing, pro-life DEMOCRATS. Trust me, I’ve tried to tell them how little sense it makes for them to keep voting DEM, but they are also union members, so it’s like spittin’ in the wind.
Excuse me. It’s stupid!!
But the question was about pro-life Democrats, not about how conservative they are. I know that Casey fits that bill.
I'm sure she won't cry after you.
I chalk it up to Palin first.
What would be a real hoot is if she challenged 0bama in the democrat primary. Can someone enter both the democrat and republican primaries at the same time?
Palin understands that perfectly. She also understands that NO DEMOCRAT will accept her offer (unless they are prepared to caucus with the GOP). And she understands that she will attract millions of conservative Democrat VOTERS who are becoming increasingly disgusted with the way the country is heading.
She is doing EXACTLY what Reagan did in 1980, she is showing the VOTERS that she is more interested in values than party labels.
If McCain had said exactly the same thing, what would have been your reaction ?
Relief that he finally came clean about his political orientation.
“I WAS a Palin fanno more. Palin must not understand how important it is for Republicans to gain a majority. She can get lost as far as Im concerned.”
What good did it do this country when the republicans were the majority? NONE, because our republican leaders are NOT conservative, they just have an “R” by their name and are the same globalist sell outs that the democrats are. No one wants to identify themselves as republican any more, haven’t you noticed?
