I’m just at a loss to explain how supposedly intelligent adults can honestly think that the best solution to a problem caused by excessive borrowing and spending is MORE borrowing and spending.
It’s mind-boggling. It’s like a doctor suggesting that the best cure for cancer is to give you MORE cancer.

People not only were forced to cut back on fuel, they didn't have bucks to put into other sectors.
Then when our 401k's got wiped out, we just said "whoa"...and stopped buying beyond necessities....(and Michael Jackson cr**, of course).
Looks like he picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue. Being stoned was the only thing holding the administration together.
The point that eludes them, is that Obama and Co. WANT the economy to fail...

There is only one kind of stimulus that actually works and it can be immediately applied and effective...a reduction in tax rates on both corporations and individuals.

Obama doesn't understand economics. A big part of a recession is simply mood and attitude. He could create a boom by just being pro-energy/drilling and pro-business/investment.
